“Close, yet remote”

The hotel is only a 10 minute drive to Monterosso al Mare and they offer a free shuttle service from the hotel. The only negative for me was that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere with nothing but trees surrounding it. It made it a pretty location, but there isn't anywhere that you can walk to besides their own restaurant next door. Great service, nice, clean hotel. I would stay there again.

“Great staff, inconvenient location”

The manager of the Green Quiet was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I were travelling around Europe on our honeymoon. Our first night at the Green Quiet my 6'3" husband slept with his feet up on the footboard of the double bed in our room--it was a sleepless night for him. We noticed pics in the brouchure that had beds without footboards and so we asked the manager if it was possible to be moved to one of these rooms. The manager was dismayed to hear of my husband's discomfort but said the hotel was full. After some deliberation with other staff members (and some use of an electronic translator) the manager informed us that they would remove the footboard from the existing bed frame! My husband and I looked at the bed and concluded that this could not be done, however, when we returned later that evening, we found that they had replaced the entire bedframe with one that did not have a footboard. My husband slept much more comfortably after that. The Green Quiet has an exceptional breakfast included in the room rate. The free shuttle they provide runs VERY infrequently and stops at 6:45pm (dinner in Italy, is not served until 7pm) and taxis will charge between 15 and 20 Euros to make the 20 minute trek out of Monterosso. While the hotel was very neat and the rates more reasonable than some of the hotels in town, my husband and I felt we would have preferred to stay closer in (ideal for showering between beach and dinner time, taking a nap in mid-day heat, etc.).
