“Best of Riomaggiore”
We really liked the apartment. We had a great view of the Marina in Riomaggiore. We would definitely go back. We had the top 2 floors of our building including a great little patio. However, because we were on the top there were a lot of steep stairs. So as long as you are ok with stairs, it is a great place. It had a little kitchen so we were able to cook some of our own meals. Riomaggiore has a bakery and some great deli/produce places as well as a co-op grocery store. It was a great relaxing place to spend a few days!
“Perfect apartment”
We had a refrigerator & had our own breakfast each day. Enjoyed our stay & was a good location to start our 5 city tour.
“Million Dollar View”
Cinque Terre deserves all the raves it gets. We really didn't know what to expect, and renting a studio in Riomaggiore from Appartamenti e Camere Edi turned out to be one of the best decisions we made on our month-long Italian vacation. Most people visit Cinque Terre using trains, but we were driving, having just spent 2 weeks in Umbria. Appartamenti e Camere Edi can arrange for parking at less than half the rate currently charged by the public lot for overnight parking. The landlords let you store your luggage at their storefront while you park your car, then walk you to the apartment you have rented. We had chosen Apartment L’Agave, which was on the 2nd floor (thinking in US terms) of a small building overlooking the marina. This means you were a lot of steps up from the actual waterfront, and the view was extraordinary. It also meant the foot traffic outside your door after it was about 8PM was minimal, and you had the sound of the waves lapping the shore to fall asleep to. There was a good, comfy kingsize bed, lots of closet space, a clothesline outside the windows (two big windows) and clothes pins so you could hang wet suits or rinsed-out laundry items to dry. The kitchen had a small fridge, stove top and sink. We didn't need the TV. We loved the table and chairs. The bathroom was sparkling, and hot water plentiful. Wish we'd stayed more than 2 nights! We'd go back in a flash.
“The most amazing place. Our Italian dream”
Yes there are a lot of steps but when we saw our apartment that looked out on to the sea washed rocks we thought that we had come to paradise. It was rustically charming. It is a 2 story apartment but the views and character are the best we have ever encountered. Lovely restaurant next door for the best food and not too pricy. we will come back here.
“Great location for the fit and healthy with minimal luggage”
We stayed at L'Orrizzonte which was a one bedroom flat on the 5th floor right on the harbour. The flat was comfortable, clean and adequately furnished. However there was no water pressure in the shower. We reported it but no one came to look. Also the flat was on the 5th floor (73 steps) which was not stated in the information and could be a problem for some people. The bathroom and kitchen were also up one level from the living area and bedroom. There were also a number of steps between the station and the flat. The view from the balcony was worth the hike but we probably would not have chosen it if we had been forewarned.
“Overlooking the sea”
The appartment is typical of the Cinque Terre area - simple but authentic. It is situated right on the front with great views from the 5th floor balcony over the port and the sea. The down side of this though is that it is a long walk from the parking area and the steep stairs would be a struggle with heavy cases. The rooms are perfect for a family: four people can just about squeeze on to the balcony for breakfast and the double bedroom is simple but pleasant. The two single beds in the lounge were adequate for our teenage boys but may be on the small side for adults. Remember to book parking in advance with EDI. Great restaurant just next to appartment "Dau Cila" with nice terrasse and excellent selection of antipasti.
“Roomy for Italian hotel”
Appartamenti e Camere Edi is a small apartment conveniently located to shops and transportation in Riomaggiore. It's not fancy, but it's clean and well maintained. Compared to other accommodations in Italy it we found it roomy. Note that check-in is not on the premises so you do have to tote luggage around. It's on one of the main streets in Riomaggiore, so you'll hear street traffic. It was reasonable priced especially for such a beautiful town.
“Highlight of our trip.”
Wonderful location, Balcony room right on waterfront. Friendly, helpful staff couldn't have made our stay more pleasurable. If you want Cinque Terre this is the place to stay.
“room with a view”
Remember, Italian rooms are small. This was a small apartment with a kitchenette overlooking the marina. Fabulous view! Bed was a bit stiff, but okay. Not for those who like to be pampered. It's not a hotel, it's a little apartment. The room is not on the main strip of Cinque Terre in Riomaiorre, but for us, that added the charm of being off the main street and overlooking the water.
“Perfect place to stay”
Perfect location in the nicest of the 5 towns. Inexpensive grocery shops within a minutes walk. 10 minute walk to the beach. Apartment was clean, had a nice balcony for people watching, and had a nice eat in kitchen for family dinners. Edi was very kind and helped us carry our heavy suitcases up the stairs. Could not ask for more!
