Needed an overnight stay that was located in West Chester, Ohio and near our friend's home and, also, close to shopping venues (holiday shopping) for the next day. The Wingate by Wyndham turned out to be a good choice! Room was comfortable, clean and quiet.

Needs a makeover

Pros: Roomy, comfortable seating area for complimentary breakfast
Cons: Throwing out the chairs, even if they aren't replaced, would be better than keeping the ragged things in the rooms.
Location: Close to North Cincinnati attractions (Jungle Jim's, parks) but in a quiet suburban setting
For the price, we were disappointed. The lounge chair in our room looked like it had spent time at the bottom of a river, and I was concerned that we would be charged for ruining it but the staff acknowledged that their chairs are in bad shape. It made us wonder about the maintenance and cleanliness of the rest of the room, which turned out to be OK. The complementary breakfast was served in an unusually large and comfortable room, but the layout of the buffet had the plates behind the waffle iron causing a traffic jam and some uncomfortable confusion. The front desk was very friendly, but said they could not give me a receipt for my stay since I booked through Expedia - is this normal?

Good hotel, staff needs replaced

This is our second stay at this hotel. The first stay included a VERY loud wedding or something. We finally just went out and came back after it was supposed to be done. The staff was not very available, but once you found them, very helpful. Our second stay included again a staff difficult to find, and while helpful, not professional in behavior. The bed was okay. The room well cleaned, but somehow for the last night we were left no washcloths. The front desk staff complained about their jobs in front of guests. They charge more at the front desk for snacks than the vending machines - not helpful either. I may stay here again as there are few choices in this particular town, but only with discounts. Fortunately, one of our nights was free thanks to hotels.com - again, it was adequate, but if you are looking for amenities and a helpful staff, look elsewhere. We did not try the breakfast.

Had originally reserved the "suite" because wanted beds in separate rooms. This suite was a joke! The extra bed was a pull out of a very small love seat - probably about the size of a twin bed. There was no AC unit in this sitting room area. The staff did accommodate us and moved us to a regular room with two queen beds, but it was not what I wanted when I reserved the room. One of the party also felt the beds were way too firm and uncomfortable. The breakfasts were very good.

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Location is great-quiet area and easily accessible from highway. The only suggestions I would make would be that the hotel consider installing exhaust fans in the restrooms and cleaner carpeting in the elevators. Otherwise this is a super great place to stay!!
