“Pleasant historic surroundings”

We traveled to Cincy to assist friends moving there from Indiana. The Six Acres B & B was close to their new location. Kristen Kitchen, the innkeeper, is a delight and accommodating in sharing the history of the home that she has so lovingly restored. Once a part of the Underground Railroad, this historic mansion sits on a knoll surrounded by a pleasant deck and private lawn. It is on a main thoroughfare, but we did not find road noise to be disruptive to a good night's sleep. The room was spacious and comfortable w/ a reading area and private bath. In the morning, Kristen offered a scrumptious breakfast of fruit, juice, pancakes, sausage, bacon, and scrambled eggs. More than enough! Then she joined us for a invigorating chat around the table grouping. What a delightful experience...especially for history buffs!

The room is very spacious, clean and quiet. The owners are very nice and warm hearted. We drove and arrived at rainning night. We couldn't find the entrance in the dark night. The manager walked a long way to the outside and meet with us at the entrance. He is really a gentleman. I can see the owner made lot of efforts to decorate the rooms with taste of art. But would suggest to pay more attention for the room functions, such as the TV was not connected or no power, some light bulbs are off, etc. We're a little surprised we don't have our own bathroom, which has not been described in the listing. The breakfast starts at 9:30am. They offered us to start our breakfast earlier. Although we left early with no breakfast, We really appreciate their kindness. In general, I'm sure they will do this business very well because they are doing it with their passion.
