Not worth the cheap price

Room smelled bad. Carpet was so dirty I wouldn't walk bare footed. No maid service between nights. The pool was great but the pool room needed work. Don't think a single renovation has been done since being built 30+ years ago.

Dilapidated, Dirty, Run Down

Keep in mind this is NOT an alternative to the high-priced lodge across the road. Not even in a similar category, this run down motel must have been a prime location at one time in the past, being located just across the road from Kings Island. But to call it a "resort" at this point is a ridiculous stretch, unless maybe it's called "your last resort" if you have nowhere else to go. The entire place is run down and dirty, paint falling off everywhere, and the pool area, while large and the biggest and deepest pool I've ever seen at a motel at 9 feet, is downright filthy. And all the riffraff that stay here fill the hot tub, drink their beers, and like to stand right by the doors and smoke so the entire pool area is like being at a run down bar. There were several shady characters checking in and using cash. Nobody in this place looks like they'd even have access to Expedia, so I'm unsure as to why Expedia even lists this dump. Oh, by the way they charge $8 per person for "breakfast" which is meager at best, and served in a dark and dirty closed off conference room area. Time to close this one down guys. Don't go here unless you are low income and this is as close to a "resort" your family will ever see. Otherwise spend an extra $30 a night elsewhere and you'll be glad you did.

Location: by king's island....lots of restaurants nearby and grocery stores. great location
everything was great w/the room.....except, on the morning when we were chking out, there was a mouse in the room. some things hotels can't control, however, i informed the desk clerk on the way out and he said he would tell the maintenance people.

Enjoyed 2 night stay

I had seen some reviews on here that made me nervous, but my girlfriend and I really enjoyed our time here. Our room was clean, our bathroom was clean, everything was well stocked and it was just enjoyable over all. The staff was.very friendly and very helpful. A bonus is that there are so many great restaurants just around the corner. Will definitely be staying here again.

This is approxiamately the 6th or 7th time I have stayed at this hotel. It has switched names and management several times over the years. But regardless I have never seen the Hotel in this shape before. Our room looked like it hadnt been cleaned since we were there 3 years ago. Carpet looked like it belonged in a college frat house!! I take that back. I do not want to disrespect frat houses like that. Dust and cobwebs under beds and in corners. I am very disappointed because we always liked staying in this hotel because of the indoor pool, shuttle that runs every 20 minutes to kings island, and location in regards to restaurants. Unless they do a major overhaul on rooms and get new management we will not be staying here again.

Old resort but inexpensive and worth the money

It's obviously a former great resort but it shows old! Condition-it lacks necessary TLC. The carpets sure could use a simple steam cleaning-esp around the juice machine and the hallway heaters. Room: the room was nice, clean, towels were good, bed was comfortable, there was a fridge but no microwave. The sliding glass door to my room was unlocked when I arrived-glad I checked it! Fitness room: out of 5 fitness machines, 3 were broken-but the eliptical was great. Pool: The pools deck looked like it hadn't been cleaned since mem day weekend, the chairs are all dirty-the stuck on type of grime, paint was peeling off the walls, the chlorine in the pool was way out of range-my eyes became very blood shot as soon as I returned to my room, the hot tub was large and hot-it was good! Arcades: All 80’s games many machines were broken-I lost tokens in a couple of them-I hadn't played Galaga in 20 years-I have high score!-I enjoyed the older games- just wish more of them were operational-the prizes in the claw games could use updating-win an Aaron carter CD?-how old is the candy? Breakfast: The continental breakfast was something very basic Staff: Pleasant, courteous-average Isn't the off season the time where maintenance and cleaning are done-when there aren't many guests in the hotel? For a room to sleep it was a pretty good deal-clean, comfy bed-plus you did get the amenities-that worked Less than my expectations-esp for a resort center but, worth the price I paid for the room!
