"Very affordable and very nice"
We stayed here two years ago and were far from impressed...it was old and reminded me of a hostel. Bot now WOW ! The place has been redone completely and it's absolutely awesome. Dare I say it's ...modern ? :) Everything is new and clean and the staff is very courteous and helpful. There are a lot of small and interesting stores and restaurants in this china town neighborhood. I will absolutley recommend this place and stay here again!

"Perfect location .."
This is my second stay @ the travellers hotel.. Preferred my last room ( last time I was moved to a diff home) this time I had a better check in experience with no hi cups!! they even emailed me the day before and have me ttc advice ect as we came to visit the zoo and aquarium. I had a tv, fridge & microwave ...however the tv channels were very few but hey we only booked the room to sleep in!!:) I'm sure we will be back since u can walk to the cn tower/ Rogers centre/& aquarium in less than 10 min PERFECT for someone out of town with no vehicle!!!!!!!!!!

"Japanese style accommodation"
It is a hotel of Japanese style. As the Japanese always do, the room has been kept quite clean and clear. However, I found the late check-in policy after booking, while it was already too late to cancel the booking. I paid the 20 CAD for late check-in after 10 pm. It was a really displeasing memory!

"Nice basic hotel in the heart of Toronto's "Soho""
This hotel is a little hard to find, it's at the end of a short street in a student district that is so jam packed with shops and hipsters that it resembles Soho in Manhattan and also there is Chinatown right next to it. But the cul de sac that it occupies is relatively quiet. The staff was helpful. The room was clean and basic although I got a suite because it was cheaper than a room with one bed for some reason. My room had a kitchenette with stove and fridge, silverware, and glasses. Any small appliance you have to deposit $10 to borrow from the desk. (iron, coffee maker). I had to pay extra for parking my car in their lot, which was an unexpected annoyance. This would be a good hotel if all you want to do in the hotel is sleep and maybe cook your own food (if you got a suite). It doesn't have conference rooms, breakfast, an exercise room or a pool or any of that. It does a good job of being clean and quiet despite the surrounding neighborhood.

"Great location and price"
You really cannot beat the location. A few blocks south of Bloor St and north of College so there are plenty of bars shops and restaurants. Also walkable to Chinatown and literally right on one of the main bus/tram lines so buy a daily transit pass and you can get anywhere in the city. For the price you won't find anything better. Students slamming doors at random hours can be a problem if your a light sleeper but other than that everything is as advertised. Will stay here again for sure.
