Good location of Hotel Palacio del Sol Chihuahua
personnel, friendly. Very, very noisy the heater in the room we stayed for seven nights. It made difficult to hearing the TV or talk with the family. So we have to put off and the room was cold at night. We were told that all the room were the same. But, We stay an extra night and asked for a different room and that was okay. Few days, the person who clean the room only leave things (like toiletries and towels) for one person. Not good pillows, nor blankets. The personnel, in general, were friendly and helpful.

Very old hotel
Was terrible, the hotel smell like a insecticide the air conditioner doesn’t work, the beds are uncomfortable because the mattress are old and the cover sheets doesn’t fit.

Decent hotel with good location.
Location was great; service was standard; room was clean but ceiling was low and beds could have been softer. Staff spoke limited English. On second stay, coffee maker was missing from the room. Only one small bottle of water provided for two guests sharing a room.

The rooms needs to be updated. As if we took a trip back to the 60's. The restroom was deteriorated and very old comforters. I was expecting more for the price. Somehow the music from the penthouse( Presidential suite) was blaring through the walls.

Chihauhau where there is Something for Everyone.
The hotel was perfect. We were on the 14th floor & had a Wonderful view of the city. The Sorienna Market was nearby.. Local markets were close. We took the trolley to locate all the museums & choose which ones to see. We saw the Pancho Villa House & Quinto Gameros. Excellent.

Central location
This hotel was chosen because of its proximity to the center of the city. Our room was great...comfortable king bed and the bathtub was a nice surprise ( it was a soaker tub!) Our friends room was not so great! The price was good... We would stay her again if we were looking for a downtown hotel

This hotel needs an upgrade
Tall building, with good views and location, but hotel needs upgrades, in 2 days internet barely worked for a couple of hours, no thermostat controls, if room is warm you need to open this narrów windows impossible to find unless you know..and get a lot of wind....did not try the food.

Old and grungy
The wifi internet connection was awful. The room was clean but the whole building is in dire need of a remodel. The gym was closed. It's in a good downtown location close to lots of shops, the cathedral, museums and tourist information. The downstairs buffet was good but not included in our hotel stay. Staff was friendly.

It is an old hotel, it needs some updating.
This hotel used to be a very good hotel, but now it is old, furniture is old, structure is old. The bathroom needs maintenance - all the hotel needs to be maintained in order to be the great hotel it used to be.

The hotel is great front desk and valet parking. About the rooms it's time to change the ceiling fans for new ones some dnt work properly, also our first room was to hot Ac wasn't probably and gave us another that worked great

Excellent for the price!
mostly out of the room most of the day; 4 day visit; hot outside but Very nice and cool in the room. halls were warm but no one sleeps in the hall. energy conscientious. were up too late to enjoy complimentary continental breakfast, but they had wonderful breakfast and very nice brunch on Sunday. Room was very quiet and could not hear the street noise because of the hum of the AC:)nice hot showers too. room has no fridge, but we never use it.

Cover your eyes!
The reception had some soft porn playing on TV when checking in from our copper canyon train trip? Room was nice. Our TV only had 1 channel. Close to great restaurant by the cathedral. Buffet breakfast over priced! Has a bathtub!

The people is excellent, culture and places are beautiful. The hotel is not really good, the bathroom and carpet were no clean. It does not have a refrigerator an ice , if you need ice you have to go to the lobby and ask for.

Nice clean hotel with very helpful staff,
Well deserved of it's star rating, the hotel is clean, well run with a great location. Staff was very friendly and was always eager to help. Location was great for me, a short walk to the center and even shorter walk to the market. Nice views from the rooms on either side (I stayed on both). Internet was strong. I only ate once in the hotel for pan dulce and coffee so only limited thoughts on that, though it looked good and again stsff was very helpful.

Reminds me of staying at my grandma's--
Staff very nice and hospitable, but facilities need serious updating. You can tell this hotel was a very fancy place decades ago, but there has been no updating done that we could see... Our stay was pleasant, quiet--but the hotel could definitely use some investment in newer furniture, carpets, bathroom fixtures, etc if this hotel is going to be considered a "3 Star" hotel.

Great Experience
Palacio del Sol was a great first time experience in Chihuahua; the staff was friendly and accommodating. My daughter and I felt safe getting to and from the hotel. "El maletaro" was top notch in all aspects of his role and, went above and beyond (gave us tips on where to eat, cash dollars, places to visit and things/what to look out for). He would be the reason why I would stay there again.

Ay, Chihuahua! Had a great time.
Chihuahua is known as a friendly city and we were well received everywhere. The Palacio del Sol is in easy walking distance of city and state government, tours, museums, etc. Breakfast buffet was very good, not huge but provided plenty of variety. Service was quick and enthusiastic. I would recommend a junior suite, lots more space for little more than a standard room.

excellent hotel centrally located to the downtown
we had an excellent experience during our stay at placio del sol in chihuahua mex. The staff assisted us with our 96 yr old mother who had mobility difficulties because the hotel while is nicely equipped and rooms are cleaned and well supplied their lobby has multiple steps heading to the cafeteria. The staff had to take my mother in her wheelchair via their "behind the seens" route,meaning a route not accessible to the visitors only to the staff , through the back of their cafeteria and their storage in order to get to the cafeteria due to the multiple steps or lack of wheelchair access. Th hotel breakfast buffet is excellent and recognized as one of the best in Chihuahua. The staff is courteous and anything that needed attention was taken care of immediately. We were provided with a handicapped room well equipped with handicapped bathroom , refrigerator etc. We loved our stay , the hotel price per room is excellent and strongly recommend it and rate it with 5 stars

Great location. Walking distance from city square. 10 minute cab ride to train station. 20 minute cab ride from airport (no traffic). Hotel does need to be updated but not by much. Good value.
