Lovely hotel, very friendly and accomodating staff, clean and comfortable accomodation, dog friendly. Had a good night's sleep and a nice breakfast.

Lovely countryside and grounds. Nice comfortable room but shower area could do with some maintenance and clean.. Great evening meal in the pub, best battered fish ever.

Stayed with this group of inns before and the white horse did not disappoint. Cuisine was very good and a delightful fresh breakfast to wake up too.

Quiet place, great location with wonderful staff
Great place to stay with wonderful friendly staff, who cannot do enough to improve your stay. Free electric car charging is a great bonus too.

The location was beautiful. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Was a wonderful stay.

The room was very clean and presented to a high standard . Unfortunately the bar and eating area had a fly infestation It wasn’t great when your trying to eat . So much so we walked out after ordering our breakfast . When we complained to the staff they said it was the time of year lol . We went to a Witherspoon’s only a short drive away . Not a fly insight ? I will be contacting the owners of the property

The White Horse provided an excellent overnight stay with good facilities and a lovely breakfast. We would have liked to have eaten there too but their restaurant booking system said fully booked only to be told, once we arrived, that they always make room for guests - too late for us as we’d made other arrangements.

Mixed feelings - avoid if vegan
We stayed for two nights, and had very mixed feelings about this hotel. Things I liked: Friendly staff Nice rustic feel Lovely views and outdoor space Things I didn’t like: We had to move rooms, and ended up seeing 3 of the rooms on offer. Two of these did not have a shower, only a bath. We found this really odd, and very inconvenient. It did not say when booking that you might not get a shower. Sheepskin rugs: just horrible. If you care about animal rights you are better off elsewhere, there were also paintings of men on horses in red coats (suggesting they’re off to fox hunt) on the walls in one of the rooms. Food: had breakfast only and it was nice. Chose not to have evening meals because there isn’t much vegetarian or vegan choice. If you’re vegan, I would definitely avoid for the multiple reasons above.

An excellent 3rd stay at the White Horse. New owners are making some changes and just to have roll with those but can confirm the food was excellent but missed the excellent pies. Service from everyone was excellent - warm, friendly, attentive and informed.
