“Great spot to stay to see Chichen Itza”
We stayed here in order to be at the ruins first thing in the morning. We drove-- it would be hard to use this hotel without a car I think. The hotel was perfect for what we needed. It was spotlessly clean, the room was plenty big and had AC as well as a decent shower. Breakfast in the morning was a fruit plate, scrambled eggs and toast. A fantastic value for the price. The ruins are 3 minutes away as is the town of Pisté which has some great restaurants.
“The place to stay if you are visiting Chichen Itza!”
If you are looking for an authentic experience with quaint little rooms, gorgeous pools, a beautiful cenote right across the street and free transportation to Chichen Itza from the hotel, then this is your place. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food was great and the hotel was quiet and relaxing. I came here with two friends and all we talked about was how we lucked out with such a cute hotel in the perfect location. Best of all it's budget friendly! Granted this is not a luxury hotel but it's clean and has everything you could possibly need. Definitely would go back!
“clean and comfortable”
before we came to this hotel, we also stayed at Dolores Alba in Merida. we (my husband and I) had good experiences in both hotels. breakfast here was not buffet but good enough parking is free and secure pool is clean and substantial, there were hammocks near the pool the hotel is quite far from other establishments (except the Ik-kil cenote) so you will be 'forced' to eat at the restaurant in the hotel. restaurant at the hotel was fine, no complaint about it. it does not have the amenities of a 5-star, just the basic but for a 2.5 star rated hotel, i will always take this one.
“bon endroit”
hotel satisfaisant dans l'ensemble, très bien situé. La deuxième piscine n'est pas très bien entretenue, dommage.
“Location Location Location”
The hotel is perfect for a visit to the Mayan ruins at Chichen-Itza - one of the seven wonders of the world. We arrived in Cancun Airport at 3pm in the afternoon and hired a car to drive straight to Chichen-Itza. The 180D (very expensive tolls !) starts at the airport and is an easy drive to the hotel, with only a few cars on the road. We arrived at the hotel at 7pm and the room was a private chalet near a secure parking area. In the morning we had a wonderful breakfast of a fruit plate, and scrambled eggs right next to the circular pool. The hotel vibe is very relaxing and the service was excellent. We then drove 3Km to Chichen-Itza to be there exactly at the opening time of 8am, to have a great visit at the Pyramids. After 2 1/2 hours we came back to the hotel, had a swim in the pool, hung in the hammocks, and were so glad the check out time was noon.
“Nice place not far from the pyramid and Cenote Ik-kil”
Very conveniently located and clear signs along the route to the hotel so you cannot miss it. Very reasonably priced for the location and facilities. I didn't like the pink color on the exterior walls, but, that is hardly a cause to complain. Although there is a road near the hotel, there isn't much noise. Walkable distance to the cenote Ik-kil right across the road.
“hotel dolores alba chichen itza”
“good basic local hotel”
Good value. This is a clean, comfortable, convenient, stopover hotel. Staff are friendly and the food good. the rest is fairly basic.
“I liked it”
A small hotel near Chichen Itza. Easy acces to the ruins,2hrs from Merida. Not for those expecting luxury. More for the seasoned Mexican traveler.
“The Edge of Jungle”
All the staff were very friendly and prompt with requests. The hotel was in desperate need of being updated. The hotel was quite old and dated from the 60's or 70's. Furniture was very old, not antiques but old! More indoor lighting was needed. Housekeeping was good however towels and linens were also old. Pools were well maintaned as well as the surrounding grounds. One pool was a round wading pool and was maybe only about 31/2 ft. The other pool was a coral bottom with different depths of water. Kind of scary after dark and was supposed to be the center of the universe or something with healing waters. Over all our stay was very relaxing and off the beaten path. Complimentary breakfast served daily. Menu very limited.
