Chicago Location Location Location!

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: great location
Cons: Just one small issue....occasional smell from shower drain
The location or the Wyndham is perfect. We were able to walk to several tourist attractions...including Navy Pier. The Chicago trolley/double decker bus and the architectural river tour are directly across from the hotel. You can walk to magnificent mile and 100's of restaurants. The room was very big, quiet and the elevators were never an issue. The river view was spectacular. The staff was helpful and were very accommodating with early check in and late check out. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! It is right across the street from the Trump Tower so it is easy to find your landmark! You can get to 7-11, Mc Donald's and a few other small breakfast places for coffee in the morning.

Great location for sightseeing!

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Stayed at the Wyndham for 3 nights with friends on a weekend away to Chicago. Location is perfectly situated for seeing all the popular attractions Chicago has to offer. The Chicago Tours Bus stops opposite. Millennium Park is 5 mins walk away and Navy Pier about 15.

Perfect For Out of Towners

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: Location.. Location. Location.
Great time at an ideal location for all things Chicago. Especially if you want to take advantage of the cities amazing rail system. If you are there for a weekend get a $25 weekend pass. The hotel is a short walk from all the rail lines, amazing night spots (roof tops are amazing), and good value breakfast and brunch spots. Ask for a room high up to take advantage of the view.

Location: River walk, bus and trolley tours across the street.
Our river view was amazing! We had a double queen room which very roomy. The decor looked new and modern. The beds were very comfy. We would definetly stay here again.

Nice central hotel, shame about the wifi

Posted 22-Aug-2014
Pros: Central, clean, comfortable
Cons: Definately the WiFi.
The good things - very central, good, clean rooms, lovely bed, great shower. The bad things - the free wifi to your room was totally unuseable. Not good enough.

comfortable stay

Posted 20-Aug-2014
Pros: Comfortable, nice location, helpful staff.
Cons: Stronger staff presence outside hotel in the evening. 2 young adults in our party were harassed and intimidated by vagrant while sitting out front.
Location: Within walking distance to Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier and nice view of the River.
We were greeted and helped by staff immediately upon exiting our cab. We did not have to wait for a room although we were hour plus ahead of check in time. The double queen room was large, comfortable and clean. Staff was helpful without being pushy. We declined room with a view of river because of additional cost, but view of city was fine.

Average Hotel on Chicago Riverfront

Posted 20-Aug-2014
Pros: The position in Chicago downtown was great with pretty much all of the attractions at walking distance.
The hotel was OK in general. Not perfect for some few reasons. First of all the elevators were out for service for one day (I spent 5 days up there) cause of a general failure. Some other small aspects I didn't like that much especially in comparison to other hotels. Let's indicate some of them: the buttons disposition inside the elevator was a little confusing (call me picky but I wasn't the only one noticing it), there wasn't a daily mineral water refill in the room (unless you asked for it), the behavior of one guy at the Concierge was a little rude to me (I asked if they had some kind of shuttle service to the airport. Of course they don't. Then I asked if he could call a cab for me..."Sorry we don't use to make reservations but you can reserve something on the internet.."

Waterfront luxury hotel

Posted 19-Aug-2014
Excellent experience, very friendly staff, great location and luxurious room with a beautiful view of waterfront that is right across the street to walk down to and enjoy. Smack in the middle of downtown so plenty of eating places and shopping at walking distance.
