Great view of the river

Hotel staff was very helpful. My room looked back down the river and the view was spectacular. The best part was the room service. Get the lobster Mac and cheese...it's bonkers.

Parking is a joke

Posted 18-Nov-2014
Pros: The room is spacious.
Cons: The hotel service. The PARKING!!!!!
The hotel is okay, room is okay. The service is just so so. I called the front desk asking for two sets of toothbrush, they just sent me one. Besides, the parking is really a joke. They charge $60 per night, which is above average parking fee in that area. Within this price, they let me wait for 40 minutes outside to get the car. This is really ridiculous since the temperature is just 15°F. They didn't even say sorry. I would not recommend this hotel.

It is good to be Expedia Gold Plus!!!!!

Posted 17-Nov-2014
Pros: The location could not have been better. Three blocks to Lake Michigan, one block from Michigan Avenue shops, right on the river. Perfect.
Cons: Valet parking is mandatory and is contracted out.
Location: Within a mile: Willis Tower, river, Lake Michigan, Michigan Avenue, dozens of resturants, shops and theatre.
I had a city view room at this Expedia VIP hotel for a ridiculously low price. When I checked in, the Manager said "You are an Expedia VIP Elite so let me upgrade you." I was given a one bedroom, two bath suite that ran the width of the hotel! The living room overlooked downtown Chicago and the river. The bedroom had a city view. The staff was very, very helpful and very, very nice. The breakfast I had at their restaurant was yummy (and reasonable). This was by far the best rooms(s) I have EVER stayed in. I received extra points for booking on my phone app and for staying in a VIP hotel. I know I sound like an ad for Expedia but it is totally worth using a site that is reliable and reasonable.

The Hotel was very close to all the attractions. The room was very clean with lots of space. The only criticism is that the don't supply breakfast tea bags and milk!
