“A romantic experience!”

We loved the intimacy of the hotel; it was like sitting in our own living room visiting after dinner. The Old-World charm was European in flavor and a nice departure from "huge" and "overdone". It felt much like being in a neighborhood within the city.

“Convenient to shopping, entertainment, and night life”

The tremont was an excellent location for us. It was close to shopping, touring, family, and just minutes away from some great restaurants. The only thing that was a little upsetting was the $38.00 valet parking fee. After the first night we found cheaper overnight parking within a block of the front door. The $ we saved paid for lunch out the following day.

“Front desk was extremely helpful. The location is great, just steps from N. Michigan Ave.”

Slightly worn, but convenient and good for the price. I did not ask for a quite room, though street noise was not a major issue at night. Shopping and dining are all within walking distance.

“Great location for shopping”

Good value for the price, ideal location for everything, especially shopping, beach, attractions not too far also. Needs an update, but that didn`t effect me

“Keeping it Simple”

Small vintage hotel with a doorman and valet service but without the glitzy lobby and amenities providing an oasis that is clean, comfortable and affordable in a big city full of national hotel chain offerings. Staff attitude makes up for any preceived shortcomings in the hotel's appearance - its not modern and doesn't pretend to be modern. You might find some areas that could use a coat of paint but nothing that effects the comfort of your stay. You don't go to Chicago to stay in your room. Location is convenient to mass transist and a wide selection of restaurants in all price ranges. Visiting the city for a couple days, don't dismiss this hotel if you want to keep it simple and avoid excessive lodging expenses.

“Location, location, location”

This hotel is peaceful, has tons of character and well kept. breakfast at Ditka's is addequate and through the hotel lobby. My only gripe is, there is only 1 elevator for the entire hotel and it is SLOW!
