For a LOT more $ this place would rate 4 stars It was amazing for the low rate.

“comfortable, inexpensive but not cheap, VERY convenient”

It's not going to impress you when you pull into the parking lot, but it's quite comfortable inside. The staff is very nice, the motel is kept in good condition, and they could easily justify charging triple what they do just based on the location. I highly recommend breakfast at the companion diner in the morning. It's a diner, not a continental breakfast, but it's cheap and very good diner food. I will absolutely make this motel my first choice any time I'm visiting Chicago. Driving in was a breeze-- about 3 turns off the interstate, and less than 2 miles from exit to door. Free parking with your stay, even after checkout. The train is within walking distance, and downtown Chicago is right outside the door. Great experience and I look forward to going back!

“Best place for the cost in Chicago”

Great place for a great price Very nice, basic motel with free parking in a great location in Chicago. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was no issue with noise from the street. The little diner on the corner has a great breakfast too! Lots of other great restaurants in the area that you can walk to. The parking is free and they allowed us to leave our car for the rest of the day even after checking out.

“Perfect location”

This motel is perfect for travelers who wants to stay in downtown chicago for cheap and with free car parking. It was bit noisy outside but who cares! This is a basic motel with clean rooms. This motel is located only five blocks away from Michigan avenue and it is surrounded by restaurants. Most of the places are walking distance.

The Ohio House Motel was very clean and the staff very friendly. Close to anything you wanted to go to.

“The best downtown hotel in the center of everything”

You shouldn't expect a better hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago at this price! This place is at the center of everything - shopping malls, restaurants, downtown attractions all are within walking distance. my stay was a pleasant one. This hotel has a typical motel design with no hotel lobby or toilets for general use - it may cause inconvenience once you checked out and has to wait there for some time. The other matter in which the hotel authority must give attention is the very slow internet connection, although it is free but it is so slow that you couldn't complete your work in your room and have to look for cyber cafes nearby.

good location, cheap rate,free parking, free WIFI, not very big room, but because located in the main intersection, feel a little bit noisy during the night

“Great Bargain”

I was very nervous about this hotel, but for the price and location we were very impressed. The traffic did not bother us at all. It did get a little stuffy but we figure what little time we spent actually in our room, we got a great deal. I would recommend this place to my friends and thank god a business that did not take an arm and a leg to pay for it was awesome. Thank You.

“Had a great time in Chicago”

Downtown Chicago is noisy, to be expected, the hotel was good if your looking for downtown Chicago location at a great rate...don't expect the Ritz, its has most things & a good attached restaurant, it is across the street from tour bus stop, you don't go to Chicago to sit in your room anyway. Enjoy, spend your money elseware.
