“Great hotel in the perfect location”

This hotel was great especially at the expedia rate. Right across the Chicago river from Trump Tower and 1 block from the magnificent mile. The 'L' is 1 block away. It is also a short walk to Millennium park. The room was large and comfortable. Had a fantastic view of the river.

“Looking forward to our next visit...”

We have been to Chicago several times, it being one of our favorite US destination cities so have stayed at different hotels. We chose Hotel 71 as an Expedia Pick and for the price. Were we ever impressed! Upon arrival, the desk clerk immediately upgraded our room to a river view which was spectacular. We travelled with our 2 kids and the room had ample space. We also used the fitness room quite a bit and were able to work out while overlooking the Chicago skyline and river. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel is also conveniently located to the train/subway lines, shopping, theatre district and Michigan. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit!

“Great hotel, excellent location.”

The hotel service was great, location was even better. You're right downtown with easy access to walk to all the tourist attractions. Hotel was clean, room was spacious, cool furniture too. We had a corner room and the view of the river/downtown was amazing. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Only caveat is that one of the upper floor elevators was out of service, and apparently has been for a while now. It is certainly not a deal-breaker for this hotel though, you just need to be a little patient.

“Fabulous river view”

Contemporary decor, very clean room, great size. The view of the river is spectacular! Nice central location. Good coffee shop in the Lobby.

“Fantastic”

I was already delighted that I was getting a GREAT deal on the hotel from Expedia. It was an added bonus that my room was HUGE, the bathroom was squeaky clean and Michigan Avenue was STEPS away. My whole trip was so convenient because of the convenience of my hotel. The staff at Hotel 71 were polite, knowledgeable and engaging. As someone who was traveling alone for the first time in Chicago, I had lots of questions and they were all answered with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel!

“Great Hotel, Great Service”

The hotel is in a great location, steps away from the Magnificent Mile, the El, the Art Institute of Chicago and Millenium Park. The room was large and the views were great. The staff was very accomodating. Would definitely recommend.

“Good place to stay in”

Really we are very satisfied and the location is wonderfull on the river and near all the attraction. People were so friendly and helpfull. I think if they only put refrigerator in the rooms then that will be very good. I recommand this hotel for sure and I will go back to it when I go again

“chicago's best hotel located in the best part of the city”

hotel 71 was one of the best hotels that I have ever been. The personnels of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Hotel 71 is located in the heart of down town chicago, so you would have access to anywhere you want to go. It is close to public transportation. The hotel costs were very reasoable. The facilities in hotel were somhow good , but there is no pool and no refrigerators in rooms.

“Great Hotel, Great Location, Awesome Experience”

We stayed at Hotel 71 for 3 nights and we couldnt be happier. I chose this hotel after reading plenty of good reviews on tripadvisor, and they were right! We upgraded our room to the Premier King/River-view based on reviews I read and it was the right choice. The view from our room was beautiful, looking right down the Chicago River, definitely worth the $. The rooms were big, definitely plenty of space with lots of drawers, big closet, and bathroom. Loved the amenities like free wifi, TVs in room and bathroom, rain shower, fridge(on request) and doorbell for the room! The hotel is modern and very clean(I'm usually picky when it comes to that). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is an excellent location and to go to any of the sightseeing activities was an $8 cab ride at the most. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Chicago!!

“We Would Return in a Heartbeat!!”

Our stay at Hotel 71 was a wonderful experience. My husband and I were in Chicago for the July 4th long weekend and had a blast. Check in was quick and our room was ready before the 3 o'clock check in time. The staff was quick to accommodate our requests of a later check out time and service was wonderful. We upgraded to a King River view room and it was worth every penny! The view was beautiful. Our suite was about 600 sq/ft, with a dvd player, mini fridge and sweet plasma tv. The bathroom was really nice but would have loved to have a bathtub and not only a shower. The bed was comfy and the pillows were nice. The location is perfect... we couldn't have asked for a better Hotel. Thanks Hotel 71 and staff!!
