Weekend in Chicago.

Pros: the location was close to my favorite jazz club and some places i like to eat !
I enjoyed the hotel, i guess their was a convention going on { that's what the taxi driver said } because the room was very $$$$. I asked why a room that cost $300 a night did'nt have wi fi and it was given to me as part of the business class room. After returning to the room sunday after going to church, the room had be "cleaned" but i had to ask the maids in the hall for toilet paper and shampoo that was not replaced when the room was cleaned.

Central location

Location: Hop on/ hop off bus stops outside the hotel, but the bus only goes in a loop in one direction, away from the shops on Magnificent Mile.
The room was ok and the bed comfortable. No free wifi in the room, unless we were willing to pay for an up graded room. Disposable cups for coffee/tea, but only left one cup each per day, and only one coffee capsule each. No kettle, but a coffee machine which didn't work terribly well if used for 2 people and not easy to fill with water. Check In was awful. Queue was as bad as in an airport. Check Out was easier as it could be done on line via the room's computer. No evening restaurant or lounge bar. The hotel is considered by the people of Chicago to be special, but I thought by UK standards it was mediocre. You have to pay for your bags to be stored after checking out.

Good location

Location: near good shopping
We missed our flight so we needed a hotel room quick and this was a good price. We did a nice big room. The hotel is kinda old but it was clean. If I was going back to this city I would not stay here again. I like at least a 4 star hotel.

Being a Diamond Hilton Honors member, I don't think the hotel was up to the norm compared to other Hilton hotels or other hotels.

Outdated, overrated. Horrible customer service.

Cons: Customer service, larger beds, more comfortable bedding.
Location: Michigan Ave. tons to do.
Upon arrival, the very friendly front desk employee offered me a room at a discounted rate, saying that it was "tonight's special." She said the room was larger then the room I had originally booked, had "wall to wall windows with a spectacular view of The Magnificent Mile." It was also $100.00 less then the room I had booked, as it didn't have a bed. However, she assured me that there would be a double bed in the room by the time we returned from the theater. We returned to the room at midnight to find a roll away cot (twin size) leaning against the wall. When we called to request a larger bed, they said that was all they had and that the hotel was booked for the evening. After discussing our options, the manager finally 'found' a room that was the same I had originally requested. This took more then 40 mins. It was not a good experience.

A disappointing experience for a Hilton fun

As a Hilton fun, I was greatly disappointed by Hilton Chicago. Except for location, I can hardly say anything good about the hotel. First of all, my room is extremely small. I can not find space for an extra bed. The space between my bed and the TV table is so narrow that I have to walk sideways through ( it is about 7 inches wide ). The closet is also small . Only one small travel case can be put inside. The washing room is small, I can not find place to put my cosmetics on the table. Second, the facilities in the room are so old and things like towels and toilet papers are of very poor quality, I can hardly believe that I am in Hilton. Third, I have exactly the same food for breakfast for four mornings. Not s single food has been changed. What is more, the breakfast was supposed to be available till 10 am, but some food containers were empty at 9 am, and the staff said no more. It's pity that I can not upload my pictures to prove what I said.

Bathroom in room could have been cleaner. Long wait at restaurant. My room was not stocked with soap I called the front desk and they brought it right away.
