Crowne Plaza Hotel Chicago occupies floors 14-40 of a 40-floor building. On the rooftop are a seasonal, outdoor heated pool and SKY lounge; both offer expansive views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan. On the seventh floor is a fitness center that contains cardiovascular and weight training machines.
A 24-hour business center has wireless (high-speed) Internet access (surcharge) and provides computers, faxing, and printing, and 18,000-square feet of meeting space, including 11 meeting and conference rooms facing the city or lake. Valet parking is available (surcharge).

Avenue Hotel Chicago contains 350 guestrooms decorated in warm browns with oak furniture and black and white architectural photographs. Rooms are located on floors 14-40 and have sweeping views of Chicago or Lake Michigan.
All rooms have executive desks, zebra-print ergonomic chairs, plasma TVs, MP3 docking stations, and complimentary wireless Internet access. Bathrooms feature granite countertops and rainfall showerheads.
All guestrooms are nonsmoking.

SKY Lounge - Located on the 40th floor. Serves a European buffet-style breakfast daily.
The Elephant and Castle Pub - Full-service restaurant on lobby level. British comfort foods include bangers and mash, fish and chips, shepherd's pie, roast beef, and Yorkshire pudding. Other fare includes steak, grilled fish, chicken, pasta, and sandwiches. Imported beers, ales, and single-malt Scotches. Outdoor seating during warmer weather.
Recreation
The hotel offers a fitness center and seasonal outdoor swimming pool on the 40th floor.
A jogging path along Lake Michigan is roughly five blocks away and the challenging and scenic Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course is 4.5 miles north, along Lake Michigan. Rental bicycles and in-line skates are available at several beachfront locations. During summer, Oak Street Beach, two miles north, is popular for sunbathing and for swimming. Also in summer, beach volleyball courts are available for rent or pick-up games.

“Can't wait to go back”
Very enjoyable experience.
“Perfect location, perfect price, beautiful room!”
Although the attendants at the check-in counters seemed stuffy and hadn't much personality or charm, the location of the hotel, price, convenience of valet parking and quality of the rooms were perfect. The bed could have been softer, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time we stay in Chicago!
“Great Escape!”
The service was impeccable from the moment we pulled up to the door. We were meeting two other couples for a week-end. The front desk was not aware of this so when we arrived at various times they re-assigned our rooms and put is all on the same floor right next to each other so we could be together. We were met with smiles and friendly faces at every turn. Our rooms were very nice with amazing views of the skyline. The beds were extremely comfortable and you have a computer for your use in each room. We all had a wonderful stay and we will definetly return.

“Great Location Great Room!”
Asked for a room on a high numbered floor and we got it. Room was clean and comfy. Close to buses and trains. And close to everything else we wanted to see and do. The only drawback we encountered was that the elevators seemed slow at times. But we did stay during Lollapolooza weekend the city was busier than usual. I am not sure if that had anything to do with it. We enjoyed the pool as well. We had a great first visit to Chicago.

Check in was easy, nice restaurant downstairs, clean rooms, gym, etc. close to everything, would go back again without a second thought
“Fantastic Accommodations and Kid-Friendly Staff”
Staff made us feel like queens! Took my niece to the American Girl store nearby, and the Crowne Plaza staff were simply wonderful. They were extra attentive and made her feel extra special - whether the bellhop, concierge, front desk, Sky Lounge restaurant, etc. Everyone was wonderful! And, our room was divine! Super clean, superior beds, spa-like bathroom, beautiful pool and roof-top view, etc. Only downside: Food was overpriced at the Sky Lounge for breakfast - not a very good value or selection for the money, and it was awkward to eat at end-tables instead of regular tables. No full-service menu available unless we used room service, and that was a huge disappointment.
“Lovely hotel with the perfect location for tourists!”
Would definitely stay again. The beds were absolutely the most comfortable, heavenly beds I have ever slept on- even at home! Room was a bit small, but normal for a city hotel. The location is perfect for tourists, shopping, close to the lake... Just avoid the overpriced breakfast in the Sky Lounge. Waaaaay expensive for what it was, just check out the view, then head out to Michigan Ave and find something cheaper.
“Great Hotel For The Price and Location”
We stayed at this hotel for two nights for a convention at the Navy Pier. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Everyone on the staff that we talked to were very kind and informative. The attached bar has some good food and a great beer selection. We were there during the NBA playoffs and it a couple blocks away from Timothy O'Toole's (a great sports bar with really good food) This hotel was the best deal considering the quality!
