The property was close to my daughter's apartment. It is so close to public transportation. You could hear the El from my front facing room, but it wasn't too bad. The rooms could use updating, but were sufficient for my use. Loved the upgrade of a bottle of wine. Will stay here again.

We liked spaciousness and older style. Bathroom was beautiful. Online seemed to indicate breakfast was included, but it was not. Maybe an old posting. but still was not clear.

It was a nice stay. Quiet most of the time. Until pipes bang on the walls. Sometimes I can hear other people. Beside that it was great. People where nice; specially cleaning crew.

This hotel is unsafe. The door to my room barely shut all the way and the deadbolt was broken. I had to shove the couch against the door to feel somewhat safe. Also, the front entrance gives an illusion of safety, however I saw many non-guests enter and just walk around. The towels in my room had blonde hairs all over it and I’m a brunette so.. I was so exhausted when I got there that I didn’t do more investigating or call for a room switch but it was very unsettling. All in all, if you are like me and you’re a young woman worried about being safe, this is not the hotel for you!!!

I liked the location in the heart of Lakeview. I religiously use CTA when I travel to Chicago. Landed at Midway airport, took the Orange Line to Roosevelt on the Red Line to Belmont. The hotel four doors down from the station. The hotel is definitely vintage but well maintained and clean. I found it a value and will use it again.

Great place to stay in Chicago
Great location. The front desk will let you drop off luggage and direct you where to park. So many places walkable and right at the train. Snacks, wine, and more available for purchase. Great night's sleep. Exceeded expectations.

The staff lacks hospitality. When I arrived at the front office at 2:55 pm, the gentleman assertively informed me that I couldn't access the room before 3:00 pm. Moreover, they billed me an additional $5.5 without prior notice or explanation for the charge.

Hotel room was good. Only issue was getting a parking pass. There was not enough when i got there at 4. The guy kinda was rude about it! Saud nothing he could come back tomorrow to get one.
