Located off Michigan Avenue in River North, ACME Hotel Company Chicago is 2 blocks from the Magnificent Mile and 5 blocks from the Tribune Tower. The Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, and Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower) are all about 1 mile away.
The hotel occupies a handsomely restored historic building with an Art Deco lobby. Other highlights include a fitness center, a spa tub, and an activities desk. A 24-hour business center is on site, and wireless Internet access is complimentary.

“Great new decor!”
We did not know this hotel was no longer a comfort inn until we arrived and were pleasantly surprised. The new fun decor was great. The hotel had a unique and interesting appeal. Didn't love the bathroom sink or shower but a minor point. Beds were comfortable, clean and fresh! PERFECT location. We will go back.
“Renovated Old Comfort Inn”
On Day 2 of stay it took housekeeping staff until 4pm to get to room to make bed and clean towels. Not a huge deal but the idea of staying downtown is so that you can go back mid day and freshen up before heading back out to see the sights. I have a feeling it was an oversight and probably a scheduling issue- something a customer should not be aware of
“Great location, modern decor”
The hotel was in a great location a block from the L. The room was modern and comfortable. It looked like they were still doing some renovations particularly in the lobby. Its true the room didn't have drawers or a closet but I was only there for the weekend and that didn't matter to me. I was more interested in the free wifi.
“Good Hotel”
Good hotel in a superb location. Unfortunately they were changing over to Acme from the Comfort Inn on the smae weekend we were there. There was some issues ,especially with check-ins, but overall the rooms were great and the staff very accomodating.
