“Mecure Narita, friendly staff and excellent hotel”
Excellent Hotel ... very good english speaking concierge and close proximity to everything in Narita. We went back a second time we enjoyed our stay that much
“hotel is located about 5 minutes form traine station..the train station is 2 stops from the airport”
the rooms clean with comfortable beds...the bathtubs are small but the bathroom was clean with everything one needs..the staff is every helpful and polite
“Excellent reasonably priced hotel at Narita”
The hotel is located close to Narita train station, making it easy to get to the airport or the centre of Tokyo. In addition it is only 10 minutes walk from the beautiful temple complex at Narita. The rooms are very comfortable, spotlessly clean with very efficient air conditioning. The extensive breakfast provided could make some effort towards the western palate. Rice and miso soup was excellent, but a little scrambled egg and toast would ha ve been nice. The staff are friendly and professional and all speak excellent English.
“Nice inexpensive Hotel in Narita”
If you are looking for a simple hotel in Narita this is it. Excellent breakfast buffet!
“Great Deal in Narita Town”
Mercure Hotel Narita is a convenient, pleasant, clean, well managed hotel at an extremely reasonable price. It's close to both train stations in Narita Town and a very short walk to its most interesting business district. There are two buildings, a main building and an annex. The annex has a separate entrance from the street but if you want to go from one to the other without going outside you will need to take two elevators. I did not find this arrangement to be much of an inconvenience. The rooms are very small, making them a little less comfortable if you are going to spend any amount of time in them other than sleeping. But they are clean and well maintained. Some of the rooms have connecting doors to the next room, which seem to transmit more noise between rooms than a solid wall. The hotel has a pleasant, bright restaurant on the main floor with both breakfast and lunch buffets. The food is good, but a little pricey. There is a self-service laundry in the adjacent parking structure. Internet access is available if you pick up a network connection box at the front desk for a 1000Yen/day charge. The hotel runs a regular shuttle bus to both terminals at Narita Airport throughout the day.
“Well worth it !!!”
For the price we paid, we felt it was well worth it. The service here was great. The front desks clerks were bilingual and very helpful and courteous, ( The Japanese sets high standards for customer service no matter where you go). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the bathroom ceiling was rather low. If you are over 6ft tall you will have a hard time taking a shower, but who travels to Japan to shower anyway? The hotel also provides shuttles to the Airport and the Aeon shopping plaza ( great shopping ) which was very convenient. What was awesome was the location of the hotel to all the train stations. It took us less than 5 mins to walk to the Keisei and the JR lines. The hotel had a breakfast buffet that served both continental and japanese style breakfast too. Many of the guest here are all foreign travelers, and even the Quantas flight crew stays here as well. The surrounding area had nice little shops on the way to the temple, but we never got to see it because it rained the whole time we were there. Next time I return to Narita I will surely return to this hotel
“Excellent location!”
You can walk from the Mecure to a choice of many restaurants, plus the train station & stores. We stuck our heads in several restaurants and choose one directly across the street. Our 2nd day was cold and rainy so we ate in the buffet restaurant and Japanesse restaurant in the hotel that were also excellent. The room is clean but not magnificent, but the location lets you see Japan like a local and not just a tourist.
“Great value for money”
Needed a hotel close to the airport for one night stop-over. Mercure provides a free shuttle service to and from the airport. Hotel in a great location. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants and also the San temple.Train line around the corner. Rooms small, but very clean and comfortable. Hotel used by flight crews of Qantas, British Airways and American airlines. Would definately stay again.
“Maybe a little tired but very clean with good service.”
Returning from Kyoto we needed a place to stay the night before we flew home. I chose the Mercure because it was adjacent to 2 train stations (the JR and the Keisei) and the price was reasonable for Japan. The hotel was just around the corner from the Keisei station, just a couple hundred feet. It is an older hotel, not flashy, but kept very clean. Depending on which clerk I spoke with, their English ability ranged from adequate to excellent. Our room was small but clean. The beds were comfortable to us and the water was hot. The breakfast buffet was good with rolls, omelettes, bacon, fruits, and juices. The bacon could have been a little crisper but was OK. Coffee and cappuccino were dispensed from a machine- OK, but not great. (Another option is a McDonalds a block away) The road in front of the hotel leads to the Narita Temple 800 meters away. It turned out to be a pleasant, winding walk down a narrow lane past little shops through town. The main temple is new and imposing, having been completed in 1989. Choices of restaurants around the Hotel are somewhat limited and are mostly Japanese cuisine. We tried roast eel which was tasty. Had we stayed at one of the hotels closer to the airport, we might not have bothered to go into town. We would stay there again
“Great location for an overnight stop”
Great location for an overnight stop, close to Narita temple and plenty of restaurants shops etc whilst still very close to the airport. Good service from hotel staff who arranged to clean and let us into our room early (after an overnight flight). The free shuttle worked well. Quiet comfortable room.
