“Great stay”
We got into Chattanooga when it was 104 degrees & we were on motorcycles, so we were extremely glad to reach the hotel. They changed our room to give us one on the first floor so we didn't have to haul all of our belongings as far, which was great. We really appreciated the outdoor pool that evening also. I was a little worried about the area at first, because it seemed to almost be an industrial area, but there are several other hotels nearby and plenty of restaurants to choose from. We were very happy with our stay overall.
“Extremely Satisfied”
My wife and I were very satisfied with our stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable in addition to all the usual Hampton features. The staff was very helpful with directions and places to dine and went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. We will definitely be back.
“Don't Let the Neighborhood Fool You”
Some people say this hotel is in a "bad area of town" but in truth, ALL of Chattanooga is a bad area of town with the exception of the areas that have been specifically spruced up for tourism. The hotel itself is very nice and clean, and at no time did I feel unsafe. It is very close to many major attractions and priced very reasonably. I would stay here again.
“2010 Yamaha Motorcycle Rally”
We were concerned that the distance from the hotel to the event would be inconvenient, but the traffic in the area was minimal and not an issue. The area has many one way streets which can be confusing, but the hotel provides written directions and maps for every major area of interest. This includes the WalMart whichis only 10 minutes away. The hotel is beautiful and the daily breakfast is hot and changes daily. You will find the food to be better than those continental breakfasts that other hotems provide. Fruit and coffee remain available all day long, also warm cookies in the early evening. The bed was so comfortable. A pillowtop top that made it so enjoyable. Extra pillows were already in the room so we didn't need to ask for them. The only negative was the pool. It is outside and small. There is no shade and we did burn when in the pool for only an hour. Bring sun screen. Overall, one on the best hotel stays that we have had. Highly recommended.
“More than meets the eye”
Great Hotel. The outside of the hotel was deceiving as it looked a bit outdated. However, upon entering the hotel, there was no doubt that the building was updated and beautifully decorated. The rooms were very nice and most importantly, the beds were VERY comfortable (and this is coming from the princess and the pea). Also, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay there again.
“Very convenient”
The Hampton was very convenient because it was close to everything we wanted to see: Rock city, Ruby Falls, and the Riverfront. That being said, I would not have been comfortable walking around outside at night alone. It was near the interstate, which was awesome, but it was also near a lot of old abandoned buildings. The service was fantastic, the beds were very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent. The free cookies in the afternoon were a nice touch. The staff was very helpful and polite. The pool wasn't very big but it was fine for the kids to get out and have some fun in. The only complaint I had was the carpet in the hallways had an odor to it. I'm guessing from the pattern that it has been there a long time and either hasn't been cleaned very often or you just can't effectively clean it anymore. The rooms did NOT have this odor, it was just in the hallways.
“Great Room...Really Great Price!”
We went to Chattanooga for a girls' trip. The Hamtpon Inn Downtown/Lookout Mountain was great!. The rooms were nice, very clean, and comfortable. The hotel seemed very fresh and new. Perhaps recently renovated. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was great! The pool is small, but it did the job. :) There wasn't much around the hotel as far as restaurants and shopping, but downtown Chattanooga was just a few minutes' drive away, We were there during the week, so traffic was no problem. It literally just took a couple minutes to get downtown. We also went to Ruby Falls, Rock City, the Incline Railway, and the TN Valley Railway Museum, Those places were only a short drive away as well. Some of the reviews I read before we booked this hotel said the surrounding area was kind of sketchy. Other than there was no place to eat right near the hotel, we thought it was perfectly fine! I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are traveling to Chattanooga on a budget!
“impressed”
liked a lot
“Comfortable and hassle free”
This was a very clean hotel, the room was spacious and importantly the staff were very helpful. Although near the highway we all slept very well. The breakfast was plentiful with a wide selection of hot food and cereals. Plenty of parking and we felt at ease in our surroundings.I would recommend this hotel.
“Over and Above”
The room was clean as well as the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was well stocked with various items, but the service by the hotel staff was what really stood out to me. They were very accomodating and extremely helpful in providing information about the area, as well as directions to the various attractions. They went over and above what you would normally expect. This hotel far exceeded my excectations for the price.
