We wish the pool would’ve been open, and the manager can be a bit strict but overall it was a great place to stay for a night or two in Chatham

Terrible. I accidentally booked as 1 guest instead of 2 guests for my husband and I. When we got to the hotel they said they were charging us $10 for the extra guest. The price for 1 guest or 2 guests is literally the exact same price when booking on Expedia!!! Not only that, but they charged my credit card $15, not $10. They also make you check out at the front desk and make you wait so that they can check your room before you leave! This has literally never happened in all of the hotels/motels I’ve ever stayed at. They also only gave us 2 pillows in the room and we asked for more pillows and they gave us 1. So one of us had to sleep with only 1 pillow. Please avoid this hotel, it was not worth it!!

Place is very dated… 2nd floor room carpets are old and room was very dated. They need a MAJOR UPDATE and Clean the whole place as in room sand Hallways. The Photos in the Expedia was totally deceiving.. Paying over $100 for a room not worth $40

Stay was pleasant considering the price point. Service was slightly unfriendly and a little bit unprofessional. Upon checkout, I was almost denied the return of $50 of the $250 deposit for “sheets that required cleaning”, as if they don’t get cleaned after each use anyway. That particular aspect of the stay seemed like a scam to me.

There was absolutely no free breakfast included like they advertised. Because there were 3 of us planning to stay, we upgraded from a room with 1 bed (fits 2 people) to a room that costed more money because it had 2 beds (that fits 4 people)....Even though we paid for a room that fits 4, were still charged us an extra fee for the 3rd person. They knocked multiple times all hours of the night affusing of smoking in room when there was none.

It's good enough for the bugs. Not for people.
Overall can not recommend. I did not go in expecting much more than a place to sleep after work but this was bad. This is a disgusting place to stay even without expecting heightened Covid cleaning measures to have been taken at some point. The bathroom:Mold growing in the hair dryer, mold along the tiling beside the toilet, sticky floors and walls, roof vents not wiped for the last 5 years... The walls covered in dirt/oil marks that wiped off with a dry cloth, which showed me how little effort was put into it. The bed room: hair on the walls upon check in, finger prints in what looked like melted cheese on the table, beds creaked and groaned like a 40 year old mattress and BUGS. My father said he felt something crawling on him night 1, our final night as I packed my stuff into the car some kind of roach ran from under my suitcase to the tv stand. I got told "those are bugs from outside it's ok." when I captured one to bring to front desk. All bugs are from outside, and shouldn't be in your hotel. They also have a "no food delivery service on premises" sign but on their plexiglass added for covid have an alternate food delivery service advertised...

Our experience in Chatham
Check in was smooth and friendly. The room could have been a bit cleaner, (cobwebs, sticky floor.) We were somehow missed by room service on the first day. However the desk manager did go out of his way to see that we had fresh towels, garbage removal and cups. Check out was smooth and friendly.

Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and it was a comfortable stay. Looks like the outdoor pool is closed for the summer which was not advertised. It was kind of strange that they check your room before you leave so you could get your deposit back. We were just an ordinary family (2 adults, 2 kids) stopping by so not sure what they needed to look for. Overall it was ok.

The gentleman at the office was very pleasant and helpful. The room wasn't the cleanest. Found a wrapper in one of the beds. Stains on the carpets and the bathroom door was filthy.

Covid 19 prevented from supplying breakfast understandable. Remote did not work had it exchanged but still did not work. No safety latch on door. Sliding doors to outside very rough and would not open all the way. Finally with limited people staying there management could have spaced them out more we had people beside us and noisy and above us that decided to watch tv at 5:30 in the morning. I counted only 8 cars in parking lot with approximately 40 units no excuse to have everyone on top of each other.

My room looked retro. There was hair still in the shower, the coffee maker was dirty. The lobby was nice but the breakfast area was dirty so i didnt eat my free breakfast. The 2 men working where very helpfully and friendly though.

We arrived a later jn tje evekng and it was dark. The sign for the hotel is not lit and parking lot was very dark. If there werr outside lights then they were not working or poorly placed. Did not feel safe in the parking lot. Not enough pillows and the ones provided were not comfortable. Disappointed in the hotel . Breakfast was not good. Thankfully a Tim Hortons across the street.

Super 8 Chatham is a disgusting mess. Linen unwashed and stained, hair everywhere, mold in shower, just a gross place.

I used Expedia to book my $54/night room but Expedia snuck me in a room that I didn’t want and ended up with a $75/ night room (not cool), the man at the counter was not willing to help correct the error. There was a cigarette burn on the toilet seat and would slid from side to side, things floating in the toilet water. The bulbs above the mirror were missing two out of four. There was dust on the top of things like the pictures, TV and don’t get me started about behind the TV. The bed sheets ere gross, and there was no ‘Do not disturb’ sign like everyone else had so I was definitely disturbed by knocking in the AM.

I booked a stay at the saxony and just pulling up to the place made me feel like a paid hooker. We asked to see a room it was so seedy looking that we immediately left and Right next door was the Motel 8. It was sooo much better for less than a 20$ difference in price. We have returned twice because it is reasonably priced and very pleasant place to stay. Everything is clean, well maintained and has been beautifully updated. It’s not the retro Suites Hotel but for a third of the price a great option. Thanks for your hospitality!

Other than a comfy bed our stay was horrible!! People were so rude! They asked us about how many people were staying in our rooms at least 4 times...we had 3 people in each room with a total of 3 rooms. Knocks on doors again to ask how many people tell us no visitors past 9 and to be quiet...rooms had empty beer cans in them...needed to inspect room before we left at 7am to get back a 150 deposit...I was told the deposit went off my credit card but now they would credit it but it would take 3-4 business days. We asked for extra blankets and the guys said that what the coverlets were for...but they were dirty so he did bring us 2 blankets lol...such a awful weird experience!
