“Dog friendly but basic room”

We stayed one night and it was Adequate though by no means beautiful. Linens were cheap. Blankets kind of shabby but since we travel with our dog we did not expect anything incredible for the decent price. Location is fine and staff were friendly and kind.

“May return”

Much improved on my stay there last year and I like the idea of the breakfast.

“Someone else's party”

Found a deflated balloon and hairs on the bathroom floor. We understand that this is an economy hotel, but basic vacuuming was not done. On a positive note, the breakfast was generous and the hot water was plentiful.

“Good for the money for the area”

I had a family funeral in the area and this place fit the bill. It was clean, inexpensive, convenient, and comfortable. It's not the Omni downtown, but you are not paying for that. Being from the area, this hotel is surprisingly cleaner and nicer than other discount hotels around the University. For the several times a year I need a hotel in town, this one is going to be my hotel of choice. You should consider it too.

“Run of the mill motel”

Nothing untoward about this h/motel. Has all the basic amenities one would expect in a US motel chain. And the drawbacks, mainly noise. Does what it says on the tin. Emphasis in the word tin. For drivers beware the entrance which is designed to cause an accident as you cut across streaming traffic at an intersection.

“Slightly below average; works if better options aren't available”

My family and I visited for graduation. Turns out that the front desk is where the huge "Red Lobster" sign is, since the restaurant is in the hotel or something. The rooms weren't in the best condition and looked slightly shabby (dingy looking countertops and shower walls, peeling ceiling squares), but we needed a place to stay during the crowded weekend, so it suited that requirement. When we first checked in, we thought that two lamps were broken, but turned out that the plugs come loose from the outlets easily. The TV reception was fuzzy, and there was no guide to the TV channels in the room. However, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful with requests. Parking was also not a problem for the days that we stayed.

“OK for the price”

Bathroom and sink area very old, chipped and stained? dirty?. Towels thin and rough. Bed comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Didn't try restaurant. Easy access to highway and attractions.

“Not Up to Chain Standard”

The property is generlly run down at the heel and the bathroom was not properly cleaned: the tub was so dirty we weren't even able to shower.

“If you only want a place to lay your head”

Ratty carpet, not as advertised: no hairdryer in room, no Wifi available. Noisy due to renovations going on (probably why the Wifi was down). But if you are planning on being out and about enjoying C'ville, it'll do. I recommend it in hopes that once the renovations are complete, it will be a better place to stay. But you may want to ask.
