The hotel was clean, comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was great!

I had never had the pleasure of staying at the Wingate before and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Eventhough the hottub was out of comission we were encouraged to use another facility at no additional expense. The continental breakfast was stocked and good. The bedding was very current and comfortable and clean.

I have stayed at the hotel in the past and have been thrilled with the new renovated rooms! The quality matches, or exceeds, rooms from many far more expensive hotels. The room sizes, an important attribute for me, are positively huge in comparison to most. I've also stayed in the suites and they are two rooms of delight! The staff, as always, was friendly, informative and very responsive to my needs - they have always taken the extra step to make my trip pleasant and comfortable. The shuttle is a new addition and most convenient when going out to dinner! Parking is free, access to downtown and the Southridge retail corridor are both superb and getting on the highway in any direction is a breeze. They were in the midst of a renovation in their lobby, due for completion at the beginning of December - the pictures look very sharp and current. I'm looking forward to my next trip to experience a totally upgraded hotel. Well done Wingate team - you'll continue to see me there on my future trips.

“Can't wait to go back”

I was looking for a place to stay in Charleston that was removed from I-77 and convenient. The Wyndham met both these criteria. The staff was friendly and thoroughly explained the various amenities (pool, exercise room, etc.) Near dinner time, I was stepping outside to think about where I might want to grab a bite. The manager, who was in the midst of transporting goods to by drycleaned, stopped what he was doing, gave me specific directions to three restaurants and wished me a pleasant stay. That experience convinced me that I would stay here when traveling through West Virginia.

Staying at the Wingate was a very good experience. I would recommend it highly. The staff was very friendly and showed that they liked what they do. I definitely would use this establishment again.
