“Pay a little more, but save money overall!”
This was quite possibly the best hotel experience I have ever had!!! Despite my short stay, the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The complimentary, hot, made-to-order breakfast was way above par (I had the veggie goat cheese omelet with bacon and awesome breakfast potatoes). For goodness' sake, even the coffee they brewed was outstanding! That's not all: complimentary wine & orduves at 4 pm then fresh cookies at night in the lobby. Being a foodie, I was clearly overwhelmed with excitement. And to top it all off, set in a prime historic location (close to outstanding food, bars, art, sights, & shopping), the hotel has bicycles you can check out to tour the picturesque city... definitely the best way to experience all that Charleston has to offer. By paying a bit more for a night at Vendue, I saved money on wine, breakfast, dessert, and parking expenses. My trip overall ended up being cheaper than it would have been if I had stayed at a less expensive hotel without all these complimentary amenities... And they treat you like royalty. Why would you not stay here?!
“A slice of Antebellum luxury”
uniquely beutiful hotel, dripping with character. Located on the most beautiful stretch of street I have ever seen in the US. A gourmet experience with phenominal staff.

“What a find!”
The included wine/cheese hour is great as is the included cooked to order full southern breakfast! We missed the cookies/milk most nights because we were out & about. The staff was very friendly. This is definitely a great downtown location.
“Enjoyed our stay again”
The room and bath were large and cozy at the same time. Love the working gas fireplace! Bed was amazing, as was the bathtub in this room. Also loved the available bikes, delicious breakfast and hot cookies at night.Only complaint was the small shower and no window; we had a skylight. I've stayed there before and it was terrific then as well.
“Amazing Staff”
We were blown away by the great customer service by the staff. They helped us with everything that we needed. Our room was amazing. We will be staying with them every single time that we stay in Charleston.
“Charming inn in Charlleston”
This is a well maintained charming old inn. The room is accordingly small compared to a typical new hotel chain. The location is perfect and close to everything, making a car not necessary. The complementary country full breakfast is plus. Staff very friendly and helpful. Leave a couple of hrs to cruise around historic Charleston on complementary bikes.
“Absolutely amazing”
Room was phenomenal and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Stayed here on our wedding night and through the weekend and couldn't have been more pleased. The location is also amazing and just a short walk to most restaurants downtown. We will definitely be staying here again
