“Great place to stay in town”
Very satisfied with our one night stay in this hotel. Would stay again.
“Clean hotel in a bad part of town.”
The hotel was nice enough and the room was clean, but it was in a rough part of town
“Easy Location”
Great location, just off the highway, good for an ovenight stay when you are on the road.
“Fine & Dandy in the South”
The room was verrry comfortable... nice to come "home" to after a 12 hour work day. Continental Breakfast my eye.. IT WAS A FULL BREAKFAST!!! Terrific!! Not much in the way of restaurants in the area but the spots that delivered were fine. Overall it was a great stay.. friendly, convenient, restful.
“New stuff but shoddy”
Since last I was there, prices were up, but furnishings were new. However, it was all cheap stuff and won't stay nice very long. I was very pleased with the air conditioning unit. It was very quiet. I'm often disturbed by the noisy units in hotel rooms. This in itself was enough to bring me back. Wonder what it will be like in the summer.
“Great place for the money”
My son & I were going to an event at the Charleston Civic Center, and though the Fairfield was a few blocks further than I wanted, for the money it was worth it. The staff was exceptionally friendly and competant. There was some remodeling taking place on several floors, but we were in no way bothered by it. I will definately stay here again!
“Average”
Good hotel if you're not looking for too much.
“simply and clean”
older style hotel but below-market rate. comfortable enough for a short stay
“Near Laidley Field”
Some of the elevators did not work and the tub under the bath mat was filthy. The rest of the room was clean.
“Decent overnight stay”
Even with a late check-in, staff was cordial and efficient. Condition of room and bath needs work, however, and AC under window was leaving carpet wet. But bed was good, room was quiet.
