“True Southern Charm”

It was our first visit to Charleston so we didn't know too much about the area but the staff, especially Rick, the concierge, were all very knowledgeable and helpful with ideas and directions. We had wonderful breakfasts every morning in the Palmetto Cafe at Charleston Place and drinks in the evening at the Thorobred Club. It was a wonderful stay at Charleston Place, I highly recommend it.

I paid extra to be on the club level - according to the expedia information, we get free internet service and breakfast. However, we were surprised that they offer unlimited drinks and food (breakfast, finger food in the afternoon, and desserts in the evening).

“Is there another hotel in downtown Charleston?”

My wife and I both were extremely pleased with all aspects of Charleston Place. If you plan to enjoy downtown Charleston this is worth the money. You are treated with the utmost respect from the time you arrive to the time you leave. The spa was an added treat to our stay and could not say more about the facilities that are available to the guests here.

Spacious room, excellent pool area - drinks were wayyy too expensive though, friendly and very helpful staff, great restaurants, shopping and site seeing in the immediate area.

Really enjoyed our one night stay. 5 of us had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurants; we were all impressed.

is Charleston Place. Quite simply that. Near everything, with convenient parking too! Lovely, spacious rooms, great beds and bathrooms. Fine restaurants, too--but near some really wonderful local ones.

“THE Place to stay in Charleston”

Wow. My wife and I travel a lot and Charleston Place exceeded our expectations by far. Perfect location and top notch everything. The pool was a great break from the summer heat. I highly recommend the club floor as well. You don't even need to pay for any food if you take advantage of breakfast and all the great "snacks" that are constantly set out. There are a lot of other nice hotels in Charleston but this is clearly THE place to stay.

“Love the Charleston Place!”

My stay at the Charleston Place was wonderful! The hotel is beautiful. My room was very nice and comfortable. The hotel is located near shops and restaurants. Charleston is a very pretty city. I hope to visit Charleston in the near future and I will stay at the Charleston Place.

This hotel was a very good choice. You cant beat the location, right on Market and Meeting St. Everything down town was within 5 minutes walking. Great location, great staff, and beautiful hotel. Only negatives were ,had no fridge and/or microwave, the food was pricey downstairs, and some of the shops were out of my class, but other then that, great hotel.
