“Great hotel, great location...”

We only stayed at this hotel for a couple of days but wish it had been longer. The main reason for this was the location of the hotel. It was right on the sea front and we paid an additional supplement for a sea view which was well worth the extra money. The view was incredible, overlooking the entrance to the port of La Rochelle on one side and to the other side you could see out across the Atlantic. At night you could have the doors to the balcony open and listen to the sea lapping against the shore. Although it was about a 20 minute walk to the centre of La Rochelle, this was perfectly manageable and very pleasant as was along the sea front. There were many hotels in the centre of La Rochelle but I didn't notice any with balconies and many only seemed to have a few windows overlooking the port. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. Our room had a safe and a small fridge which were both very useful. The room was a good size and had an inner door which you could shut to block out the noise form the corridor. La Brises also benefited from an underground free car park.The only negative thing about this hotel was that there was no kettle in the room.

“Very good location”

Hotel Les Brise is well worth a visit, staff are very helpful and speak good english, plenty of free parking space, room and bathroom very clean and of a good standard. Just a very pleasant 15min stroll into the port area with plenty of restaurants and bars, had a very happy 3 day break and will use this hotel again.

“Little gem”

Great position with views to old town and new marina.very friendly helpful staff.If you like a stroll its about 15-20 mins into town through park and seafront promenade.(or easy local bus) Good choice of excellent restaurants.

The hotel is far better inside than it looks from outside rooms are very clean and welcoming and beds are really comfortable with high quality linen . the bathroom was very clean but could be modernised during my stay the staff were very helpful and available at all times. breakfast was really good plentiful and well laid out . the terrace looked a bit bleak but it was raining and when sun came out the views from my room were superb I would stay again next time however you do need a car

Chambre très correcte. La vue sur la mer est royale. Le petit déjeuner est mesquin.

Bon hôtel et bon service. Il faut absolument réserver une chambre avec vu sur l'océan sinon l'intérêt est limité.
