Fantastic stay at this guest house. Warm hospitality and probably the best view of any accommodation in the region. The walk up from the village to the hotel was no problem for me and takes around ten mins.up through quaint old alpine dwellings. It is quite steep and I am fit, unfit may struggle to walk it. All in all Excellent value- highly recommended. Fantastic suntrap!

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They were great fun and very attentive too. Although we attempted to speak Italian, the staff spoke enough English for us all to get along. The food was great, traditional Italian and very good quality mostly local wines. It was a lovely traditional comfortable family-run hotel and I would love to gown back there.
Champoluc is a great place to stay for a couple of days. We arrived early, after a very long day of travel and were greeted warmly by the staff. It is in an ideal location, right in the center of a very small village at the base of the mountains. The staff recommended the La Grange ristorante and it was excellent, great food and service, they even started dinner early for us, 7:00 pm, since most places in Italy don't start dinner until around 8:00. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel de Champoluc is the perfect place to stay for skiing. The piste and gondola are right outside the main entrance. The boot room is 2 minutes from the piste at the end of the day. The ski hire shop is underneath the hotel (equipment is brilliant). The staff are very helpful and welcoming and the food is of a high standard. We went at Easter and the snow was fantastic and the pistes were not crowded. There are some fast red runs and enjoyable blues.
On the minus side, if you don't have a car there isn't much to do apres ski. Restaurants are plentiful but a little bit pricey. There's a comfortable bar opposite the hotel and one 50 yards along the other side which is nice if it's sunny. The pizzeria is fine in the main street but if you have a car go to Kraemar Thal restaurant in Antagnod (3-4 miles up the mountain). Superb pizzas and pasta dishes. We went twice and one night the owners of one of the mountain restaurants were there, which says all you need to know. Worth getting a cab up there and back. Three courses plus drinks was 18euros pp.
