Decent hotel for one or two nights on business

Pros: I liked the location and cost.
Cons: The breakfast should be made out of food...not the rubbery egg junk that was served. Same goes for the oatmeal and basically everything.
Location: We visited the US Army Corps of Engineers and University of Illinois
The complementary breakfast is pretty awful and should not be considered a perk. There were many outlets that did not work in our hotel room. At night, the heater was pretty loud and difficult to sleep through. Otherwise, the place was par for the course.

Needed a comfortable, familiar and reasonable overnight stay for visiting U of I. Very nice. All around good place. I would come again.

Place to get out of the cold

Pros: not much
Cons: quiet close hinges, friendlier staff
Location: location was close to were I needed to go
Beds were hard as concrete, rude people slamming doors in the middle of the night, all doors should have quiet close hinges. Breakfast was lame, couldn't eat anything.

Don't stay at this Country Inn & Suites

We've stayed at Country Inn & Suites in the past and have enjoyed our stays. At this facility, however, our experience was quite disappointing. When we arrived, we have to wait 15 minutes to check in as no one was available, and it was only 6pm. When we got to our room, the room smelled moldy and the bathroom faucet leaked. We were told that there was once a Jacuzzi in the room. I requested a room change and was granted. Our second room was fine. However, cleaning staff came by at 8am the next morning and we were not ready to leave for the day. We asked them to come back later to clean. They said they would do that. When we returned that evening, our room had not been cleaned nor any fresh towels left for us. We called the front desk and told him no one cleaned our room. No apology was provided and we had to ask for clean towels. The towels were provided in a timely manner but not friendly manner. The desk staff acted bothered and made mention that he was the only one available and that he had to leave the front desk unattended in order to deliver our towels. We will not stay at this particular Country Inn & Suites again.

Disappointed with this stay

When I arrived the room was clean, but they didn't leave me any shampoo. I was there for 2 nights and they didn't make the bed or clean the room while I was there. They replaced the shampoo and took out the trash but didn't do anything else. The TV in the fitness center didn't work and when I asked they said that they had lost the remote control so they couldn't make it work.

End of a long Drive!

Cons: Put the recently-removed hot tub back in.
Location: Near the University Of Illinois. Hardy's Reindeer Ranch not far away. Recommend the Curtis Orchard. Visit the Harvest Moon Twin Drive-In Theater
The front desk staff was kind of cold because we were Expedia customers.
