Pros: Location, cleanliness, comfort, nice room siZe and amenities.
Location: It was close to highway. TJ Maxx across the street, close to downtown University campus shops and stadium. Lots of good affordable restaurants minutes
Front desk customer service was very friendly. Nice very clean rooms and comfy bed. A plus having a fridge in my room! my friends were staying at a "fancier" hotel down by the University ball field and my room at the Baymont was actually nicer and $50 a night cheaper.

Pros: EVERYTHING.
Cons: Larger cups for juice at breakfast time. Also a juice machine ( like soda) for kids, during the hours after breakfast.
Location: Anthony Drive area.... Mall is near by, as well as other shopping stores and restaurants.
OMG.... The atmosphere when u first walk in, makes you know you chose the right visiting quarters. Clean, bright, fresh smell, courteous staff, rooms were clean, bed comfy. I think my only complaint out of my WHOLE experience, would have to be...Larger cups @ breakfast time for the juice.( I'm lazy like that. L.o.L.) Seriously... U cant go wrong, with booking @ Baymont..

2015 IL Marathon

Stayed here for the night before the 2015 Illinois Marathon. Booked well in advance as everything fills up quickly. Just needed a place to rest & shower after the marathon. Service was welcome once we arrived in IL Marathon t-shirts & explained all the information. It was really nice to hear that they gave us a free option to checkout late at either 1pm or 4pm. They just wrote our name down on a list. We stayed on the first floor in a room that wasn't renovated but did the job. Only complaint was one of the trashcans was still full of beer bottles from someone's good time. Room was as basic as it gets but I had no issues really. I would stay here again the next time I come down for the marathon.

Horrible place

First of all I ordered the room on Expedia so it my fault. So when I booked this room apparently it said smoking room and I didnt know smoking rooms still were out there and when I got there I told the lady hey my room said its smoking is the true she said yep and before I could say anything she said well you ordered it on Expedia and there nothing I can do complete horrible person she treated me like I was garbage so I never even stayed in my room I had to go to another hotel and when I was leaving there was a sign no smoking within 15' of the building but you can smoke in it so be aware

Our hotel does offer accommodations for our guests who choose to smoke, though the majority of the hotel and all common areas are smoke free, hence the sign outside. We're very sorry that we were unable to accommodate a change in your room type to a non-smoking room. We take all reviews seriously and had contacted our pest control company and they were unable to locate anything. Be assured that your concerns about the carpeting have been addressed with housekeeping. Our maintenance department also regularly performs carpet shampooing in all of our rooms. Pros: Customer service was exceptional.
Nice hotel for the price. The bed was comfortable. The customer service was great. Ladies at the front desk were very helpful in telling us about place we needed to go and how to get there.

Worth it for the money

Room is outdated, yes. Beds are REALLY comfortable though and while we were on the first floor, the noise level was decent in he halls (heard the tv from 2nd floor though). Room was clean and did the trick for us. Not that much, breakfast option wise.

overall, I like Baymont

Pros: Friendly staff, quick check in, check out. Easy parking. on sight breakfast. Great range of TV stations.
Cons: Add hot eggs and a cooked meat to the breakfast menu. Insulate outer walls.
Location: We just needed a clean, quiet, easily accessible place to spend the night. We did not participate in any nearby activities.
The staff,from the moment we checked in, was friendly. The room was clean, including the bathroom. My difficulty was with outside noise over which the Baymont has no control. I have stayed at hotels which are very near the expressway before and most of them compensate for the noise level outside by insulting. All night long I heard the rumble of traffic. In fairness, I did not complain to the front desk because I figured "what could they do." The inside noise was non existent, even door closing were barely heard. Breakfast was a bit of a letdown. Just expected a bit more variety. The staff was cheerful and the dining room clean but the hot food consisted of make your own waffles, which we do love, but would have appreciated eggs and a meat. (I base that off of other Baymonts I have stayed at). So, if you sleep like a log this is an excellent stop for you but, if you are the "Princess and the Pea type", with everything a potential wakeup call, this is not the place for you. So, great staff, close to the interstate, clean room. If those are your requirements, this is your hotel.
