“Wonderful experience”

We were looking for a local hotel to enjoy the sights in the area. (Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, etc.) From the first moment we walked in the door. The staff person made us feel welcome directing us to the tea and cookies. the rooms were spacious, clean and allowed us a quiet evening to rest up and get ready for our next day's outing! Will be making this an annual event or even a little bit more often. We couldn't have been happier!

“Great Brandywine Weekend”

I greatly enjoyed the hotel. The hotel staff was great, the room was nice, and the grounds were amazing.

“quiet peaceful lodging, great location for Brandywine valley.”

Very pleasant hotel. I would certainly reccomend it to any one visiting the area. rooms were clean and big enough. breakfeast was very adequatealthough largelyacold fare, ecept for the waffles you could make. One morning the coffee was not as hot as I tlike but the other mornings it was fine. All the personel were friendly. A terrific value and a great location. Several good places to eat in walking distance.Rooms had a nice traditional decor as did the entire hotel.

“I would go back!”

Enjoyed the room and the hotel. We went at an off peak time of season and couldn't beat the price (thru Expedia). Great value! Staff was very helpful, answered all our questions. Pleasantly surprised with breakfast, there was no need to go elsewhere which allowed an early start to our day. Lots to do within 10 miles.

“Dinner and drinks with no driving....”

especially liked that it was in a little complex of old buildings housing a bistro, good restaurant, art gallery. we could drink over dinner and not have to drive back to hotel. also liked that it was on Rte 1, just a few miles from Longwood, Brandywine Museum, antique shops. Great little find, and we'd definitely go back and recommend to anyone visiting those attractions

Very Quaint. Good location with wonderful restaurants and attractions nearby. Quiet and comfortable. Very friendly staff.
