“Great bargain!!!”
Place has everything I needed: a microwave, a frig, wi-fi and a friendly & helpful staff. The price was quite the bargain.Centrallia is well worth a longer visit. I went there for the opening of the 1st Jazztique Festival. The first performance was in the restored Fox Theater with the great vocalist Karrin Allyson. This was just a hint of Centralia's riches, musically and 'antiquely'. I had fun; I'm going back soon to spend more time.
“Very satisfied”
The hotel service was very friendly at check-in, breakfast, and check-out. The room was very clean and well-kept. A good place to stay at if going to Mt. St. Helens or Mt. Rainier.
“Nice room, delicious breakfast, good service.”
The pillows are so soft! The room was very comfortable, it didn't take any time at all to heat up in there and it was dreadfully chilly outside. Continental Breakfast in the morning was the best I've seen at a hotel in some time! Waffles, yogurt, eggs, bagels, muffins... Delicious. The guy running the place was totally on top of refilling the coffee and things too, which I really appreciate. If you're looking for a cozy and affordable place to stay for a night or two, I think this place will do just fine. :)
“Best place for the price in Centralia!”
First of all this is Centralia, for the price the stay was excellent. We even stayed another night to aviod driving in the rain. The staff was excellent, they even went out of there way to make more scrambled eggs when we came late for breakfast. YES, I said fresh scrambled eggs and bisciut and gravy. They provided HBO and other channels. The rooms in the back were quite and clean, we stayed in 120 and it was great. The next cheapest rooms in Centralia were around 80-100 dollars, so for the price, The Travel Lodge is the place to stay in Centralia. We went fishing during the day and it was great to come home to a warn dry room at the end of the day. Thanks Travel Lodge,
“Look beyond the exterior, very good value.”
While the outside of the building is a little dated and rundown, the rooms inside look fairly recently remodeled and are very comfortable and clean. There are a few cosmetic things - sloppy grout work, etc but the condition of the fixtures and the cleanliness is excellent. There is a refrigerator and a microwave in the room and good heat/cool controls. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, going beyond the cold cereal/waffle routine to included biscuits and gravy as well as decent scrambled eggs. I will recommend to anyone travelling in the area - we had gone to the Lucky Eagle Casino in Rochester and were looking for a less expensive lodging and found a little jewel here. There have been some comments about road noise but our room was "around back" and we didn't hear a thing.
“Ok in a pinch”
The management is helpful and professional. However, the motel is old and worn out. The bed was very comfortable, but the couch sagged and I just used it to put my suitcase on since it didn't really seem very good for sitting. The room has a mini-frig and coffee maker, but the coffee was really bad - I poured it out. Bring your own toiletries. There was soap and a shampoo.
“A basic motel fair value for price”
This is a relatively basic hotel and inexpensive in the scheme of things. It is fair value for what you pay. I really appreciate the help afforded to me by the husband and wife night crew. They went the extra mile for me and their help is very worth mentioning so thank you again. The room was clean and appears to have been updated recently.
“Okay.”
It was okay. The staff was nice. We got there before check-in time and they were able to switch us to a room that was ready. The room was decent. It was the cheapest rate, so I really didn't expect much.
“First impressions aren't too good.”
We actually had a pleasant time while at this property. However, the first encounter was a bit uncomfortable. We arrived at 3:30 PM expecting our room to be ready. We had made reservations four days prior. The person at the front desk made us feel less than welcome. He told us that our room would be ready in about a half an hour after scowling at his computer for about 5 min. I looked at the sign on the wall stating that check-in began at 3:00PM and then at the clerk. He called the two young girls that were cleaning the rooms and said he needed a room clean soon. Still we wondered what to do. We got our keys and decided to go to the OUTLET MALL to waste time. When we returned to the hotel our room was ready and we spent the remanded of our time in the hotel without incident.
“Pretty disappointing.”
We understand that the motel has new managers who have been promised upgrades for the rooms. We were pretty disappointed in the accomodations. Perhaps if they would close down and do the renovations all together it would help.
