“VIEW!”
We recently spent a weekend at the Shilo for the third year in a row. The first time I walked in I was astounded by the view, especially for the price. The staff is friendly and professional, the rooms are clean and comfortable but nothing can compare to the sight and sound of the Pacific ocean through that huge picture window. We walked out of our room, down the stairs and there you are on the beach. NICE! Given it was our third visit, I think I can officially state they are consisent.

This hotel has beautiful views. The staff was wonderful, and the room was clean. This was one of the best places I've ever stayed at.

this was the most pleasurable stay we've ever had in a hotel. 2 pools, restaurant, lounge, everything overlooking the ocean. they were very helpful with helping us find specific places to go. i would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. i will be going back there to stay.

right on the beach, beautiful, front desk very nice, greeted with popcorn fresh baked cookies and fruit-very helpful after a long day of traveling with the kids. Right on the beach. Ate at the cafe which was good but the view was even better. Would go back!!

CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, QUIET MID-RANGE AFFORDABLE. NOT THE CHEAPEST --BUT THE LOCATION ON THE BEACH, THE VIEW AND SERVICE IS WELL WORTH A FEW EXTRA DOLLARS PER DAY. I WON'T STAY ANYWHERE ELSE, NOW THAT I FOUND THIS PLACE. MOST PERFECT BEACH TRIP EVER,
“Great view”
Our room at Shilo Inn Suites at Newport looked out onto the beach with rolling waves,relaxing surf and kites inthe wind. We loved watching children romp along the wide hard beach, and the kites were impressive. Our room was clean, comfortable and large enough to move around in. Thanks, Shilo Inn Suites!

“Our trip to the coast”
Upon arrival to the hotel, the front desk gave us a map of the area. Very, very friendly. The room had a wonderful view of the ocean beach. We also had a young family next to us, and we did not hear a thing through the thick walls. If we stay in Newport again, this will be the hotel of choice again.
“Magnificent ocean view”
I stay here regularly. It's the place I picked the first time I went to Newport, and I keep coming back. It isn't anything special, but it's comfortable and clean, the staff is friendly, and there are cookies at the front desk. The ocean views from the rooms are great. Newport is a great town for food, flying kites, and surfing. Check out Ossie's surf shop for lessons. Eat at Chowder Bowl or Local Ocean. Avoid the restaurant called "Sharks." They are indeed sharks.
