“Good, affordable option”

I booked this hotel at a big discount from its standard rates via an online travel site. I suggest everyone do this same. If one pays a lot more for this hotel, then I would give it less stars. Room was clean, wi fi worked (even on the 6th floor), and had TV, A/C, and a fridge. Breakfast is good, with many options: cereal, fruit cocktail, bread, jams, mini croissants, cheese and ham, omelets, sunny side up eggs, and hard boiled eggs, as well as little cheese and spinach pies, and a few other things. One complaint is that the shower was a handheld one, and there was no way to attach the showerhead above you (and no it was not even the case that it had once been there and was broken, it just was never designed that way), which is surprising for a hotel like this. Location of hotel is good, not directly in the center, but still quite close, walkable or else a short bus or taxi ride away. Also, bus 78 (from the airport) stops on the same block as the hotel, which is very convenient if you want to say money on a taxi, or if there is a taxi strike. (the bus is only 80 euro cents!)

“Metropolitan Hotel”

This is a modern city hotel one block back from the seafront. The public areas are very smart and trendy. Our bedroom had been refurbished but strangely the bathroom had not, but it was still acceptable. The staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast was very good. It is a fair way from the centre and a taxi from the station was 6 EURO - be aware that it is common practise to pick up more passengers if you leave any seats free...

“Good value for money, great breakfast but 20mins from action.”

Hotel is good value for money. The breakfast included in the rate was hearty and the staff were helpful. I was surprised that the location was a 20 min walk from the White Tower and Aristotleous Square but I appreciated its quiet location when I was tired. Bathroom is very small and old and towels need to be replaced. However, I would stay again because of the value for money. Taxis were only 4 euro to the middle of the tourist area.
