“Plantation Bay”

Definitely not a 5* resort by US Standards. Although there are countless activities to do on the resort, the one thing the resort boasts are their lagoons, of which are not well maintained..very upsetting!

“Old and Overpriced”

The staff were great...always kind and prompt. The rooms (which I secured the best they had) were old and in need of maintainence....worms crawling accross the floor that we were informed could not be controlled and poorly decorated (if you can call one picture on the wall decoration. Furniture was old and in need of replacement. It appears that they spend all of their money on the grounds as they are beautiful, and not much on the rooms. In the US a room of this quality would rent for 10% of the price...... just WAY overpriced for what you get, and talking to the help...the money is not going to the labor....I guess the owners think that anything above a tin shack is of high rent value.

“Where is my pool side room?”

After enduring a 10 hrs flight from Doha, the pool side room we originally booked was given to another guest so we have to settle to a lagoon view room. Unfortunately, the lagoon was drained that night and we were not told in advance so no night swimming happened. The following morning the lagoon is still empty so we have to walk for a 5 minutes just to get to a pool. Very disappointing and overall we did not enjoy the so-called Upgrade. We just wished that we got a simple pool-side room were i'm close to my family and near the waters.
