This place is amazing, but the food lets it down big time. The rooms, pools, activities and staff are all brilliant but the food choices are limited. I am vegetarian and looked at the menus before we booked and there seemed a reasonable choice but several dishes were not available and what I did eat was mostly too salty or too sweet in Palermo and Kilimanjaro. Fiji was the only good restaurant and so we ate there every night after trying the other two. The last point that really let it down is very personal to me but sets the standard. I had requested alternative meal option to dairy and was told this was not an option. I took a taxi 5 mins to the nearest 7-eleven and purchased my own. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and a true 5 star would not let a guest do this, especially when I informed them of what I planned. It is a shame as this is a 5 star resort on many fronts but the food options really do let it down. Vegetarian dishes are not labelled on the menus either. One other small gripe is the simulated rocks on the floors of the lagoons that are paired the same colour as the floor and the first you know of them is when you have stubbed your toe or tripped over!

I appreciate the no tipping policy. We expected to tip to every single service and were quiet surprised that it was not a practice. We would definitely come back as it was relaxing stay.

The staff were friendly. Resort is clean. Customer service at FIJI restaurant could use some customer service training. Service slow, it took them 15 to give us our rice. For the meantime, food is getting cold! We have to summoned our waitress to refill our water. Food is not that great, price too expensive.

We did the Spa Immersion package which includes an overnight stay - absolute bliss! Staff are responsive and professional. It might be tricky without the road signage where to turn for the resort, unless you're a local. I did provide this feedback to the resort. Hopefully they'll add one, even if temporary.

This property was absolutely amazing. The staff was so nice and caring. We enjoyed 3 different massages at the spa and they were all different, thorough, and incredibly well done! We did the BiPolar excursion which was truly special, and got a driver (Raylen) for a city tour that created memories we will cherish for a lifetime. Great resort, can’t wait to go back! Thank you for everything!

Always a pleasure staying at Plantation Bay. Nice to get into the lagoon first thing in the morning. The staff are a very wonderful and the food is delicious.

ALERT! If a zero was possible to give, I would most definitely give it a zero but for the sake of giving a review I will be giving it a one. the reason why i chose this resort was for "KIDS/FAMILY FRIENDLY", but little do you know its not even kid friendly. Our kids were just playing with each other while having FUN, and they were not even being obnoxious! They made us continuously move some place else, just to keep the kids away. I don't understand what their problem is if this is a resort that WE PAYED FOR!Seems like this place is not a place to have fun but a, SILENCE RESORT/RETREAT PLACE. On top of that it is way overpriced, don't waste your time or your money! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Especially to ALEXA (on duty manager) she has no ethics, she is very rude and does not know how to approach customers in a nice or considerate way. My family and I are educated people and we could have been approached in a better way. Our family never had a problem like this in any HOTEL OR RESORT! If you are looking for a place to stay to have fun or even relax for vacation in Cebu, DO NOT BOOK HERE! They are also very racists! They favor the foreigners than their own local people! The one star is only for their amenities, other than that they have too much restrictions. I understand that there should be restrictions, but here they were doing WAY too much!! It ruins your way trying to relax on vacation, BOOK SOME PLACE ELSE! we booked seven rooms for our family.

The breakfast buffet is good. The set up of lagoons is very beautiful and tropical. The beach needs a little cleaning , lots of sea weeds. They offer a lot of activities in the resort that you don’t need to go anywhere else. Convenient transportation within the resort giving you lots of ease and relaxed feeling from one restaurant to the other. It’s seems like the resort is an island within an island . I would definitely recommend and come back again to this resort 😊

We stayed here for a family vacay last Jan. family of 5 with 2 small children. When we first walked-in, no one acknowledged us, nobody greeted us and nobody offered help with our luggages. We just arrived from the airport direct flight from LAX. Everyone is tired and I just wanted a smooth check-in. But the lady in the front desk, not so friendly, not even smiling, gave me a hard time, fill-out more forms, more paper work, etc, which I assumed I already did since I booked through Expedia. Since there’s 5 of us with 2 minors, they wanted me get extra room. They strictly only allow 4 person/per room! They don’t take any exceptions! Now I have to book another room just because we have exceeded their limit per room. To make a long story short, even if I asked to speak with the manager and explain our situation, if they can make an exception because I have little kids, no manager was available to speak with us and no one accommodated us. No good customer service, no one helped us with our luggages and not handicapped friendly! No wheelchair accessible and ramps for us to use. We have to put our wheelchair back in the car. Not good! Place looks old but our family wanted to give it a try but this is how they treated us! No Thanks!

It’s sad they didn’t inform us that the only good restaurant Fiji is closed every Tuesday. We found out after we had our dinner Monday night. We ended up having to eat in our room on Tuesday night. Overall feeling is Not welcoming compared to Shangri-La which is an amazing hotel. There’s 2 of us. In the bathroom, the gave is 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and one bath mat. No washcloths, toothbrushes, shower cap and each queen beds only have 2 tiny pillows. One thing good about them is the saltwater lagoon is open 24 hrs and they also have live music by the lagoon.

Stay was a great experience but cleanliness of the lagoon/pool was below par as slime was very much noticeable at the time. However, the hotel is still undergoong massive repairs during my very brief stay in fairness to the management. I commend the staff’s very attentive and courteous behavior that exceeded my expectation. Food at the buffet was mediocre.

I had such a lovely time at the resort. It was quiet and so pretty to walk around. There was some construction and they had to close parts of the lagoon for cleaning, but there was always an option to swim. The staff were so professional and hospitable. Welcoming and accomodating. My stay was relaxing and memorable. Thank you!

Very nice resort. People of Cebu are so friendly. One year after the big typhoon you can see a lot of damage. Amazing that the resort is in such good condition. Definitely support them on their road back to full strength!

I really like that this property promotes a relaxing environment. I love that it is peaceful and quiet. The staff are also excellent, helpful and very polite. I really enjoyed my stay in this property. I was able to relax here after my long flight from the States. I will definitely come back in the future.

Rats running around in the ceiling all day and night. They woke us up every night. Only one restaurant open on-site and they charge a fee to deliver their food to your room. Beach front is not picturesque but good for divers.

Let me start by saying the staff and the parts of the facilities that were open were wonderful. There was a typhoon 4 minths ago. The whole area of Cebu including the resort is still rebuilding. My only complaint was the limited amount of shops stores and restaurants open. When they reopen i will definitely return !
