“Great location”
Great location right on the water. A/c wasn't working in my room, but I was upgraded to a sea view. The food was very good also. Get there early to find parking, since it is a popular area and the hotel parking is very tiny.
“Outstanding Hotel”
I stayed here from 4-16 September 2008 and the experience was exceptional. I arrived 90 minutes early and they allowed me to check in. Everyone at the reception desk spoke excellent English. Everyone was courteous and professional. The hotel was spotless. My room was immaculate, new bathroom fixtures, great water pressure in the shower (no bathtub, but I didn't care), flat screen television, very comfortable bed. The maid serice was outstanding. There is a parking garage, but if you have a car bigger than a Fiat Panda you will have difficulty using it. Breakfast was great. The big wooden deck (solarium) right across the street was fantastic. It is owned by the hotel. Umbrellas and beach chairs available for free. The stairs at the far end go right down into the water. The snorkeling was fantastic, water visibility better than 20 meters on a calm day. Lots of fish to look at. Kayak rental spot 150 meters away. The hotel restaurant was excellent. There are also too many good restaurants in Aci Trezza to list them, especially if you like fresh seafood. All in all, one of the best vacation experiences of my life. Thank you to all the hotel staff for a great time, hope to see you next September.
“A curate's egg - good in parts”
Splendid seafront position.Very pleasant and helpful staff. the hotels parking was very difficult to get in to - very tight and often blocked - because the resort is very busy often difficult to park nearby.The breakfast offered was quite dull though the coffee was excellent.
“Sicily/Catania”
I never felt safe on the island, driving is incredibly stressful and dangerous, and personal safety whilst out walking was a constant worry in Catania itself. Charming hotel (Faraglioni), but not much English spoken once you go out and about - not even simple words e.g. food and drink items. I will not be returning here.
“Never again”
Its not as advertised, will never return even if it is the only hotel in the world!
“Not recommended”
This hotel has no parking, so I was forced to park a block from the hotel on the street. There was no room service because the restaurant was closed. When I went to the room: There was no water and the TV did not work. Both were fixed, though. The paint/plaster in the bathroom was peeling. I would not recommend this hotel
