Gorgeous property in the forest.
If you are looking for a place where you can get away from the chaos of every day life whilst enjoying some beautiful countryside and some amazing food, then this is the place for you. The location is lovely, the people who work here are also great. Kira the dog is very sweet. They have a nice family room where you can spend your evening reading, or working or playing billiard. The offer dinner, and the food is delicious. The pool is beautiful but we got there a bit late and I had work to do so we didn't actually get to use it. We had a basic room, which is a bit small. Next time I will get the Castagno, which is bigger and more modern. This is not the place for you if you like to 'do something', unless it's take walks in the countryside and just relax.

The Villa is beautiful, updated, comfortable and very quiet. The staff were amazing. They take time to talk to you, make you feel at home. The food I must say was the best we had in Sicily! The dinner menu's were amazing. This part of Etna is beautiful. I highly recommend staying here!

This place is absolutely amazing! Its away in the middle of nowhere, quite and has a very positive vibe. The rooms and bathrooms are large and comfy, service is superb. Breakfast is continental and enough to get you going. I totally recommend Bosco Ciancio and would stay there again :-)

Perfect for a few days break.
Lovely place with grounds to walk and a pleasant bar area. Restaurant serving fresh local cuisine was excellent. Convenient for treks up Mt Etna.

Loved the staff, the restaurant and the surroundings. Access to Etna was 20 minutes from the property and we loved walking in the Forrest around the hotel. One evening we had an excellent meal in the restaurant, another evening family style pizza meal with the owners and family. A great family feel to the hotel and a lovely secluded place to visit. Quite weather dependent as there is nothing nearby if the sun isn’t shining. Great place to visit for unwinding.

We had an incredible stay. Very relaxing yet close to etna and wineries. The rooms are spacious, up to date and very quiet. The on site restaurant provides good meals with a typical sicilian flavor that we really enjoyed. The staff is friendly and attentionate. We would recomend Bosco Ciancio to anyone!

Tucked away on the slope of Mount Etna, this hotel offers amazing views from the room, a very cosy patio and comfortable accommodations in a beautiful stone-and-wood building. Nice fixed-menu four-course dinners are offered every night. Good wi-fi, too.

Tranquility at its best
From start to finish, we were absolutely amazed by this place. The grounds are very well-kept, the staff are super friendly and the hotel building itself is beautiful. The breakfast served in the morning was great, with lots of variety and local ingredients on offer. Similarly, the dinner in the evening was fantastic and they catered for our vegetarian diet. We also tried the lunch during one of our days and it was very tasty. All in all this is a great place to stay for someone who wants to relax and explore Mount Etna which is approximately 30 minutes drive from Bosco Ciancio.

Beautiful hotel in a spectacular location.
Bosco Ciancio is a wonderful small hotel with a staff that wants to enhance your stay. They will help with directions, restaurant recommendations, and how to best see the area. Their comfortable rooms are also tastefully furnished. Near reception are several welcoming sitting areas, as well as outdoor decks, both encouraging either quiet contemplation of the beautiful setting or lively conversation over espresso or a glass of wine. The restaurant offers high quality regional food, exceptional local wines at very reasonable price.

Beaty on Etna
Bosco Ciancio is a beautiful place. With view of Etna to one side and the valley to the other. Sunsets are beautiful from the hotel. Tha staff was very friendly and spoke both English and German The room was fresh and clean. The only negative was, that there was no internet connection in the rooms. Breakfast was okay, but typically Italian with to much sweet stuff, so and so bread and to few options of salami, cheese and so. Would recommend this place to everyone and will definitely come back.

Memorable - if not quite as good as it could be.
Beautiful rustic building - in a peaceful location, surrounded by chestnut trees, on the slopes of Mount Etna. Newly furnished room was tastefully decorated with a view of the mountain, and everything worked. Good home-cooked dinner was reasonable value - which was fortunate, given the lack of any alternatives within walking distance. Breakfast was adequate if rather unimaginative (lacking any fresh local ingredients) - and was served outside on the terrace when the sun was shining. The staff were friendly and hospitable, but disorganised, and spoke no English, so communication was a problem for us - and payment was cash only (despite Expedia's promise that credit cards were accepted) We enjoyed our two-night stay, but wished for just a little more attention to detail, and a more imaginative breakfast menu. Then it would be perfect!

Il luogo è meraviglioso: ai piedi dell'Etna, in un parco, con questi "vecchi" locali riattati con gusto. In più il servizio è stato di estrema cortesia e disponibilità. Anche il ristorante ha proposto una cena ottima e abbondante (!!). Il tutto ad un prezzo più che adeguato. Il rammarico è stato non poter usufruire della piscina, causa maltempo...

This place is absolutely beautiful and lovely located next to Etna and it’s surroundings. Kira the family dog will be welcoming you at the parking area. We had a perfect stay and the foosd was perfecto!

Detta är ett härligt boende, värden brinner för att leverera allt vad de har att erbjuda, maten är god, rummen fräscha och rymliga, omgivningen är härligt grönskande. Hotellet ligger perfekt för den som vill besöka Etna. Poolen var stängd (för kall) när vi var där men är tillräckligt stor. Hit kommer vi gärna tillbaka.

Goed gelegen tov Etna, mooi oud gebouw, grote kamer, géén airco, geen vliegenraam, zwembad wat gedateerd, veel storende vliegen aan zwembad. Ontbijt met bediening, lange wachttijd, wel voldoende, gratis parkeren, vriendelijk personeel. Info over Etna, prijs hierover kwam niet overeen met wat we ter plaatse moesten betalen.

Man muss mit Hunden klarkommen und es sollten bei einem vorhandenen Kühlschrank ein paar Gläser im Zimmer bereitstehen. Wenn ich mich recht entsinne gab es auch keine Klimaanlage in unserem Zimmer - was allerdings durch die Lage und Bauart auch nicht zwingend nötig ist. Alles anderen kann man nur als hervorragend bezeichnen. Frühstück für Italien super und am Abend haben wir das Bosco Cianco wegen der hervorragenden Küche + Wein garnicht mehr verlassen. Der Hausherr gab Tipps zu Auflügen und auch der restliche Service ließ nie zu wünschen übrig. Es war stets ein Ansprechpartner zu finden. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt

Une déception malgré du potentiel.
Avons passé deux nuits agréables dans cet ensemble à proximité de l’Etna. Mes attentes étaient élevées à la vue des commentaires et j’ai été déçu. Certes, les lieux sont jolis, le bâtiment a du charme, la chambre également, bien qu’un peu sombre. Mais nous avons trouvé l’accueil minimum et le staff semblait être plus intéressé à jouer aux cartes qu’à prêter attention aux clients. Très déçu.

Nous avons été très bien reçu dans cet établissement. Lés propriétaires étaient très chaleureux et à notre écoute tout au long des 10 jours. Les chambre ont une belle taille et sont joliment décorées. Nous avons apprécié la présence du petit réfrigérateur, du sèche-cheveux et la connectivité au Wifi était excellente. L’endroit est vraiment calme et reposant et très verdoyant. Nous avons également très bien mangé. Nous avons apprécié que le menu soit renouvelé tous les jours, les plats siciliens étaient délicieux. Sehr schönes kleines Anwesen am Hang des Ätna. Durch die Lage auf 1.100m im Hochsommer sehr angenehm, da 5 Grad kühler als unten in der Ebene. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal, hervorragende Weine und absolute Ruhe. Sehr zu empfehlen. Einzig WLAN ist ungenügend, sehr instabile Verbindung. Reicht für Mails, mehr ist schwierig. Trotzdem gerne wieder

Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für einen Ätna-Besuch
Unsere Anreise (am 30. März 2018) erfolgte abends, kurz vor Einbruch der Dunkelheit, was bei den Straßenverhältnissen und der eher spärlichen Beschilderung gut war. Einmal vor Ort, fährt man nirgends mehr hin, was aber auch nicht notwendig ist. Herrlicher Blick mit traumhaftem Sonnenuntergang und sehr entspannter Atmosphäre im Hotel (Eher Anwesen). Zuvorkommende, hilfsbereite, aufmerksame Gastgeber. Geringe Speisenauswahl, aber köstlich-sizilianisch, regionale Spezialitäten. Gute Weine im Angebot. Entfernung am nächsten Morgen zum Refugio Sapienza (Ätna Basisstation) 12km über eine abenteuerliche Nebenstrecke. Hotelier nimmt sich Zeit, alle Fragen zu beantworten und er und seine Mitarbeiter sind sehr hilfsbereit. Der Aufenthalt wird uns immer in sehr positiver Erinnerung bleiben. Jederzeit würden wir wieder dort buchen.
