“Long on promises, short on delivery”

If you are going to stay here book a room on the "lake" side, otherwise you will have a view of the parking lot (with lots of street noise). We stayed a week this time, when we went to the front desk to request a few things (like room change, reservations, shower and phone repairs) we were met with the most courteous employees who always said they "would take care of it immediately". Unfortunately that wasn't the case, not one of our requests were taken care of and required us to go to the front desk time and again! It seems this lack of follow-through also infects the on property restaurant as well. We have stayed at this hotel yearly for over ten years, sorry to say this will be our last.

“Looking for alternative”

This hotel is probably in the most surperb location in the Kootenays. Unfortunately, over the years I have noticed a gradual decline in service, cleanliness, and overall ambiance of the place. We will be considering an alternative for our future visits, which are 5+ nights at a time. It is not an inexpensive place to stay, and I would expect a little more congeniality considering our frequency of visits and lengths of stay.
