Hôtel accueillant ,beaucoup de charme
Personnel charmant ayant improvisé un dîner , puisque nous n'avions pas précisé la chose . Plateau de charcuteries et fromages du pays accompagnés d'excellents vins de la propriété et tout ceci pour un prix très raisonnable .

Loved the castle. Little confusing to find at first but just called and asked for help and they were really nice and helpful. Beautiful place well managed and worth the trip. Would definitely recommend this place.

I loved everything about this place, but I especially liked the staff. They were so genuinely friendly, especially the night guardian who told us a lot of history about the castle. These people work hard! We will be back as we are moving to the area and hope to take part in their events. Room was exceptional; we slept well. Lovely big cappuccino for breakfast. Worth every penny. Perhaps the best place to stay in this part of the world.

This is a beautiful property. Only 11 rooms, each are unique. The food is excellent as is the wine. The castello has 4 different labels to choose from. The pool was not open in early may but appears to be clean and well maintained. We did not use the exercise room. If you wish to do a wine tasting contact the staff prior to arrival. A tasting must be requested two days in advance.

This was an amazing property, a really unique experience. The rooms and facilities were very modern and comfortable but all contained in a historic and delightful castle. Incredible views, helpful staff and food was delicious!

Warm welcome & great sleep
Warm welcome after a long drive. Dog friendly with gorgeous gardens. Beautifully appointed room with super comfy bed with luxe linens. Sympathetically restored, magnificent 17th century building with wonderful views and wine.

Ambientazione di sicuro e straordinario impatto.
Conosco bene questo posto, per averlo frequentato quando ero bambino e quando era ancora "solo" (si fa per dire) una tenuta di nobili signori. Al mio arrivo, ho subito potuto godere dell'ambientazione assolutamente eccezionale. La cura dei particolari ricostruiti. I giochi di ombre e luci... legno e pietra ovunque... vista straordinaria... la pulizia. A mio parere, sono stati investiti fiumi di denaro per riorganizzare e "ricostruire" il castello. Gli arredi comuni, rispettano l'età della struttura, ma non sono né "rottami", né finti. L'esperienza all'interno delle mura, è sicuramente affascinante. La colazione con produzione in buona parte propria, è squisita ed abbondante. Il personale, di cui mi spiace ricordare solo i nomi di Luce e Marta, più il custode (di cui non so altro, oltre al fatto che non è di origine italiana), è preparat, all'altezza della situazione, ma soprattutto rispecchia la tipica ed impagabile gentilezza e cordialità abruzzese. Migliorabile invece è stata l'esperienza in camera. Questa è fine e ricercata nella presentazione, ma non del tutto pratica nel suo utilizzo. Tv troppo piccola. Il bagno è in sostanza un ambiente all'interno della camera, costruito con il vetro (satinato, ma che non lascia posto alla privacy). La doccia è anch'essa d'effetto, ma con la tenda. È difficile avere acqua a temperatura costante. Interruttori e prese, nei posti sbagliati. Il giudizio sarebbe da 10 e lode, ma gli riservo "solo" un 9+++". Consigliato? Assolutamente si!!!

Tuffo nel “passato” ad un passo dalle vette
Posto magico. Questo soggiorno ci ha regalato un viaggio nel tempo. Atmosfere magiche nel magnifico castello senza rinunciare ai comfort. Coccolati da ottimo vino e un altro camera con vista a perdere sulla montagna vicinissima e la vallata fino a scorgere il mare. Punto strategico per godere del silenzio e dei colori collinari ma ad un passo dalle vette della Majelletta e di Roccaraso-Aremogna per dedicarsi allo sport! Camere pulite, accoglienti e ben illuminate. Il bagno moderno ed essenziale con una doccia molto spaziosa. Parcheggio interno e piscina scoperta. Personale davvero accogliente e pronto ad esaudire le richieste. Ritorneremo sicuramente!

It's my second time at Castello di Semivicoli, same feelings as last time: great staff, great atmosphere, good wine and very nice room, a mix between modern fornitures and ancient style. I definitely recomment the Castle for a enjoy relax and feel out of time!

The place is amazing. Although arriving is a challenge due to narrow roads away from Autostrada, the place is fantastic. Renovation and decoration is spotless!!!

The pictures of this hotel don't do it justice, it's even more beautiful in real life. If you can afford it splash out on the suite, the views are unbelievable and it's enormous. I don't think you will find anywhere like it for the price anywhere else in the world. Service was fabulous, everyone was so friendly and helpful and breakfast was the best we had anywhere in Italy. We would recommend to everyone!

Spectacular villa oasis
This former Baron's villa sits on the most important vineyard in the Abruzzo region. It's breathtaking in and of itself, and so are the views of the surrounding towns and cities that it offers. The wine they make, of which they will arrange a tasting for you (hell, just buy the bottle!), is fantastic. The environment is tranquil and quiet. And the pool, complete with two large flamingo floats, seems to be in its own dimension. The hotel manager, Valentina, is an absolute delight. She's not just caring, conscientious and helpful, she's just a terrific person. There really aren't words. We'll be back for sure.

Great experience
We stayed just 1 night at Castello di Semivicoli. The venue is very nice, the design is a mix of original elements of the castle and modern interior design details. The staff was super kind, the room very cosy and comfortable: again a very stylish mix of old and modern design items: by the way we loved the bathroom and the shower. In room wi-fi was fast. The breakfast wasn't that big but cappuccino and caffe were good and pastries were delicious. I definitely recommend Castello di Semivicoli, we had a lovely experience.

Wow stay!
This is a converted 17th century castle, lovingly restored and converted to a hotel/bed and breakfast. Note that there is no restaurant, only breakfast is provided. We were exploring an area of Italy we hadn't visited before when we stayed here and fell in love. The rooms are ancient and ultra modern, if you have privacy issues the bathrooms are pod style within the rooms...not seperate. The setting is breathtaking, lovely walled gardens and a fabulous pool area. You need to be fairly fit and healthy to stay here, lots of quite worn and steep stairs. Note that even though there's an elevator you still have to get your bags up quite a few worn, steep stairs. There is no porter to help with bags. The mosquitos were vicious whilst we were there so pack good bug spray! We highly reccomend eating at Trattoria Casa D'Angelo in the next village.

History and Style
Fantastic experience in a truly historical building, without compromising when it comes to comfort and service. Perfect views and good starting point for exploring Abruzzo. Ask the front desk about excellent restaurants in nearby villages, as they are all somewhat hidden.

A splendid historical property in a delightful spot with stunning countryside all around. Rooms all very individual in style - a great mix of modern blending with the old. The breakfast was superb in the old atmospheric kitchen. Valentina and the staff were so helpful. The Jazz evening in the garden was an absolute delight. A real gem in Abruzzo.

Serata Jazz a castello
Abbiamo soggiornato una sola notte a Castello, piacevolmente accolti da una cena in giardino con orchestra jazz. La struttura sapientemente ristrutturata è dotata di ogni comfort e il personale è preparato e gentile. Siamo stati davvero bene, da consigliare.

From the first moment we arrived at the Castellio we felt a calmness and tranquility rairly found in a hotel environment. All staff were helpful and informative about the facilities and the actual history of the beautiful building. We only stayed one night and were lucky enough to be invited at late notice to the jazz and wine tasting event that evening. We were traveling on a road trip around Italy, so the Castillo di Semivicoli was only a stop over, but we have vowed to go back for a longer stay.
