“Good Experience”

The hotel is older, but appears to be maintained. Breakfast was included with the room and included a full hot buffet, not just continental items. It is as nice as any I expected to find in Carlsbad, NM.

The Stevens Inn is an older hotel but seemed to have been recently upgraded. Room was large and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was very good. I would stay here again. Staff was friendly.

“A decent place to stay”

We were in Carlsbad over the July 4th weekend and hotel rooms were hard to come by. We booked a night at the Stevens Best Western because we couldn't find much of anything else available. It is an older motel, but very well-maintained. Our room was quite large and very comfortable. We had no problems at all.

“Carlsbad”

The hotel is in the heart of Carlsbad. It's location was perfect for our visit. Upon arrival the rugs were being shampooed in the lobby and one of the conference rooms was being prepared for an event. With all that activity going on we were treated as if we were the only people at the desk. All our questions and concerns were addressed and it was recommended that we dine right there. Wonderful!

“Spacious and comfortable”

After a long day's drive from Tucson, this hotel met all of our needs. The room was wonderfully large with parking right outside our room. Free internet was great as we both travel with our laptops and like to stay in touch. The generous breakfast buffet including eggs and pancakes made the next morning easy. We were on our way to Carlsbad Caverns without missing a beat. Highly recommend this hotel.

“GooodChoice”

Staff was response to forgotten imenities was nothing less than excellent. The room was large and comfortable and clean. The swimming pool was great. The only drawback was that the ice machine near my section was not working (maybe the 100 degree temperature), but there were others close by. Did I mention the staff was excellent.

“A nice trip!”

We only stayed 1 night, as we went on the Christmas on the Pecos boat tour and came home the next day. The room was clean and comfortable and in good shape, though it is an older place. The reataurant served good meals, and we really enjoyed the fresh, hot breakfast buffet that was included with our room.

We made our reservation through Expedia. When we got to the hotel, it was completely booked (to house an unexpected influx of firefighters fighting the Carlsbad fire--btw, good job firefighters). Our room was not available. Instead of turning us away, the hotel "switched some things around" and put us into a suite, at no additional charge. The staff was friendly and accommodating and made what could've been a problem into what turned out to be a delight. That is what I am looking for in a hotel. Thank you.
