Since I wasn't able to leave work, until 6 PM, on Friday, I needed a place to stay, enroute to my destination in the eastern part of PA. I did not want to drive this long trip from Pittsburgh in one night. I figured that a hotel, just off the Carlisle exit of the Turnpike, would be about as far as I wanted to go, on Friday night. I chose this Econolodge which was conveniently located just off the Turnpike exit! After an excellent night's sleep, I was able to complete my journey on Saturday.
A very nicely maintained hotel at a great price. A clean comfortable room and a nice outdoor pool. A friendly and welcoming staff. I've stayed at far far pricer hotels that when you strip away the needless "luxury" look are actually not as good.
This hotel is clean, and unusually quiet for being next to an interstate highway. Usual morning breakfast.
Could have been higher rated with a little effort.
Room smelled musty, not sure if it was the cleaning products or mold.
Shower water pressure is very low, it took 5 minutes to get hot water in the shower.
Cleaning staff did not replace empty box of facial tissues.
Room key did not work on second night of stay. A pain having to go back to front desk for new key.
Wifi did not work first night of the stay. Only comment from the front desk staff was "it's not workng tonight".
Front desk staff recommended restaurant for dinner, which was a good choice, but failed to mention we would have received a 10% discount if we showed our room key.

Hotel was nice. Staff was very friendly. Happy with the price we paid. Good breakfast. The only complaint we have is we requested a NON-Smoking room. The room they put us in must have been a smoking room at one time. We could smell an "odor" as soon as we walked in. We eventually got used to it, but every time we would leave the room and come back in, the smellnwas very strong again. In fact, when we returned home from vacation, we had to wash all of the clothes we took with us (even if we didn't wear them), because they had a smokey smell to them. If you request a non-smoking room, either insist on a room that has always been a non-smoking room, or take Fabrese with you.
