“Nature friendly, superb service, everything we wanted”
We (a 45+ couple) had a great vacation at this hotel. We are both nature orientated and enjoyed watching the daily progress of the sloth near the reception desk, hearing the monkeys somewhere in the distance, and loved watching the hummingbird that had made its nest literally right at the reception desk! We rented one of the stand alone bungalows and were impressed with its size. It had 2 queen sized beds and a bunk bed so it was family friendly. Our room was very clean and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and each day offered hot dishes such as scrambled eggs, fresh homemade pastries, and fresh local fruits. The restaurant also has good food available throughout the day. The staff were very personable and helpful with every request that we had. We accidentally left our hotel safe open one day with both our passports and some spare safety money left in it, as well as the safe key. When we returned that evening, we found out that the cleaning women had locked up the safe and returned the key to the manager! We could not have been happier with the hotel. Travelers Tip: The hotel is a bit out of town. It is walkable or you can rent bikes from the hotel or take a taxi. We enjoy snorkeling and found the Manzanillo beach to offer the best snorkeling and it is right off of the beach (no tour needed).
“will definitely go back”
Would definitely stay again at Cariblue the staff was very friendly and the food was great. Every one went out of there way to make sure our stay was the best and they done a great job.I would recommend to anyone to stay at Cariblue
“Highly recomended!!!”
We had a fantastic experience @ Hotel Cariblue. From front desk workers to restaurant manager/ owners- everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgable. Bungalos and grounds were notheing short of a tropical paradise. They even helped us make reservations @ another hotel in the area when we decided to stay another night and they didn't have any rooms available. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay.
“Definitely the best place to stay in town!!!”
The Hotel Cariblue did not disappoint us!! It looks exactly like in the pictures only better!! The staff are extremely friendly and the accomodations are extraordinary. We will definitely stay here whenever we return to the area!!!
“Beautiful place to stay.”
The setting of this hotel is beautiful. Getting to the ocean is an easy walk down the lane and across the road. The staff, especially Gerald, the manager, were all very friendly and helpful. Gerald is good to point out the plants and animals on the grounds. The restaurant wasn't the best, but they did serve a very good breakfast. We ate dinner there one night. My shrimp dish was good, but my husband's sea bass was really awful. There are other places to eat that are either an easy walk or a short drive away.
“second time around”
Second visit in 4 years. Love the expanded facilities. Dinners were excellent.
“A real Cariblue just across from the beach,”
Everything you"d want in a Nice Carribean resort. Good food resonably priced, attractive dining area, all open air, and a wonderful pool canopied by 150' trees
“Very good”
We enjoyed staying at Cariblue. It is a great place for couples and families. It may not be the best choice for backpackers or those who want to party all night, but are you looking for a great place to back to relax after a day of adventure or surfing, this is it. The pool is good, the restaurant is great. The breakfast is okay to get you started. We had coffee and fruit before surfing in the morning and went for breakfast in town. A few afternoons we hang out and listen to the monkeys in the trees and watch the birds. The beach across the road (5 mins walk) is execellent and very clean. I can highly recommend Cariblue. They even have bikes that can get you to town (10 mins).
“Charming little hotel”
Booked this hotel following the good reviews it had received and the reasonable price. The hotel is comprised of various small bungalows spread out in lovely garden area protected from the main road. The staff is over friendly, there's a nice pool outdoors which is great as most beaches are not swimmable. There is a pool table and table tennis on rainy days as well as card or board games provided all free of charge.
