“Better than expected”

It was classified as a 2 star hotel, but should probably have been 3. The rooms are small and the breakast is basic, but the staff is friendly and service minded. The clenliness is good, something that I usually don't expect in a 2 star hotel.

“Hotel Bussula”

I didn't follow the directions as to how to find the hotel after arriving in Anacapri, so it was rather challenging for me to find. However, upon arrival, the hosts were so very kind and helpful to me. It was a warm welcome. After getting situated, I was given a great little map to learn my way around town and how to find the hotel again.

“Charming service, very run down accommodation”

I think the pictures on the website present a very sanitised version of the hotel. When we arrived, we have a very friendly welcome, but even though we knew we were out of season, we were not prepared for the state of disrepair of the hotel. The outdoor areas were all cluttered with discarded matresses, cushions, chairs etc and there was absolutely nowhere to sit outside. There was no bar, just a vending machine. The breakfast was very basic too. The room, though run down was surprisingly comfortable however, but due to the amount we had paid, we were expecting a far higher standard. This was more akin to a youth hostel / B & B and I would have probably enjoyed my stay at a third of the price I paid!
