Comfortable and friendly accommodation
Happy with our stay. Close to the family we were visiting. Vegan had to ask for non-dairy milk but the next day it was provided.

Great for the odd night.
Welcome was very friendly. Bed very comfy but found 2 millipedes on the top of the duvet. Loved the electric blanket as the room was a bit chilly. No bottled water in the room but there was a small honesty bar where you could purchase some. Breakfast was sufficient and promptly served.

On 1st night no warm water. Then next morning there was watm water but showerhead fixturenell appart and had to gold showerhose in my hand! Single duvets on queensize beds leaving one exposed and sleeping cold. Wifi was not working and no 3G signal.

Hi Coenraad Thank you for taking time to send a review of your stay. We take a poor review seriously. We are still not sure why you didn't have hot water as we checked the various steps, however our showers do take time to warm up depending on where the geysers are situated. We apologise that the shower hose came off in your hand. These things happen from time to time. We do have single duvets on the beds as they are twin beds but we did change your room for you and added full sized duvets. All of our rooms have extra blankets and electric blankets on the beds. We have since had our wifi upgraded and have full coverage in the hotel. Again, thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. If guests don't let us know, we can't improve. We stayed here as a family in the family room and have been extremely pleased with our stay. The location was excellent, the grounds gated and very pittoresque, a short drive from the airport and in a safe quiet neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants in close driving distance. Rocco was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast had far more choice than we had expected. It was nice to be able to enter our room via it's own entrance and although we stayed in the winter season it was nice to have a little patio area in front of the room with seats and a table. Would definitely recommend this guest house.

The stay was an overnight stay. The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. |The bathroom was a good size, parking was easy and the place is close enough to restaurants for dinner en as a base to explore the region.

unexpected oasis
We were travelling as a family group and so we needed 2 rooms for 5 people. The hotel is in a lovely garden setting and our 2 children loved the pool after a long time travelling. The staff are helpful and the rooms are spacious and well decorated. All in all a very pleasant stay and we will stay there again

Nice guesthouse set off the road
The guesthouse is set down a driveway away from the main road so it was very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast had a good variety on offer. The bathrooms are modern but the character of the original house has been tastefully kept throughout.

Fantastic Place - 5 Stars
We stayed here for 9 nights and had a fantastic time. The location is perfect to explore Cape Town and the whole Western Cape. The local area is extremely safe. The guesthouse is fantastic value for money and Rocco and his staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The place is well maintained and the pool is great. Would not hesitate in booking a stay here again. If possible, try and book room 10 for a great view of the sea and mountains.

Very tired family room with total lack of privacy.
Only stayed one night of the 3 paid for. Truly not a nice experience. We had the family room which was enormous but that is the end of any positives. Dated dirty stained furniture Skylight without curtain so light flooded in early Curtains on all 4 windows did not cover the windows so no privacy Water ran away so slow in shower had to turn it off every 2 mins to drain Same with sink No air con so very stuffy

Perfect for getting to Cape Winelands
Just an overnight stay but very comfortable and exceptionally helpful and friendly. Supper recommendation was excellent at Ben's on the beach in Strand

Nice property though far away * Car is required
Very nice and cosy property, great staff: polite, willing to assist and offer suggestions. The downside are : Got internet when arrived but on the evening and the following day not working at all - seems "usual" there. Having a car is absolutely required as it is 1 mile uphill and only houses nearby. I would go back, but no more than one night, good location if visiting Somerset and Hermanus.

Définitivement un oui
Nous avons adoré notre séjour en famille dans cet établissement. Le petit déjeuner était vraiment très bien. Si vous avez une voiture et voulez être entre Cap Town et les vignobles et pas trop loin de l'aéroport c'est vraiment parfait. Plus ou moins 30 minutes selon traffic du centre ville de Cap Town. Wifi vraiment mauvais dans les chambres mais bien dans le salon commun. Un service avec attention et la volonté de vouloir répondre aux besoins des clients si une problématique se présente. Très propre et confortable. Tout près vous trouverez des épicecires, station service et un mall est à moins de 10 minutes si vous avez besoin. Nous étions en hiver et les lits chauffants étaient vraiment appréciés. Ils ont une belle piscine mais à cause de la saison nous n'avons pas pu l'utiliser. Service de burandrie sur place à un prix très raisonnable.

Super Zufriden
Wir waren 14 tage dort und waren mehr als zufrieden. Die Freundlichkeit des Teams und das tolle Ambiente ließen keine Wünsche offen. Verstehen dementsprechend auch nicht die Kritiken hier. ich fahr dort in den Urlaub und muss nicht ständig im WLAN hängen, außerdem ist das Internet im Haus vollkommen ok, nur außerhalb funktioniert es nicht immer. Wir würden sofort wieder das Hotel buchen.

Très bel établissement.
Très bon accueil.chambre spacieuse avec tout le confort.matelas chauffant c est un luxe en Afrique du Sud en hiver nous l avons apprécié. Petit déjeuner copieux et très bon. Je conseil cet établissement.

abgewohntes Gästehaus
Wenn wir das Zimmer nicht schon im voraus gezahlt hätten, wären wir wieder abgereist - was einige Gäste trotz Bezahlunng umsetzten. Das Zimmer war eine Dunkelkammer-Terasse vor dem Zimmer nicht nutzbar-schauten auf eine Mauer- ungenügend Licht auch im Badezimmer. Schminken und Einsetzen von Kontaktlinsen/Rasieren aufgrund von Dunkelheit trotz "Licht" an der Decke nicht möglich. Alte Duschkabine - war nicht schliessbar. Eingangstür zum Zimmer geklemmt. Möbel mit Verletzungsgefahr (war ein Familienzimmer - zu scharfkantigen Tisch!). Kleiderschrank war für einFamilienzimmer ein Witz. Frühstück teilweise keine frischen Brötchen, obwohl Spar nebenan. Sehr einseitig. Jeden Tag selbe Wurst/Käse/Obst und Joghurt, obwohl genügend Auswahl zu kaufen wäre. Unfefinierbare Geräusche in der Nacht - ist auch anderen deutschen Gästen aufgefallen. Besitzer war teilweise anwesend- hat es nicht für nötig befunden - Gäste zu begrüßen bzw. über die Zufriedenheit zu befragen.Wer gerne in einem abgewohnten Gästehaus Urlaub macht - füllt sich dort gut aufgehoben.

Trevligt hotell med avskilt och lugnt läge. Vacker trädgård och fint poolområde, bra rum, god service och bra parkering. Även frukosten var mer än OK. Ett minus att det inte fanns öl eller vin att köpa på hotellet och att det saknades lite färg här och var. Kanske läge att fräscha upp lite? Annars kan jag rekommendera detta för lugnet, läget och priset.

Ottima sistemazione per lavoro
Ho trovato questa guest house nelle proposte Expedia per Cape Town e devo dire che la scelta è stata veramente azzeccata. Situato in una zona molto tranquilla questo B&B offre quiete, pulizia, cortesia e un'ottima colazione sia a buffet che calda e servita in tempi brevissimi. Quando tornerò a Cape Town la sceglierò sicuramente ancora

Nettes gemütliches Guesthouse mit sehr freundlichem Personal bzw. Pächter. Die Zimmer im Guesthouse haben eine unterschiedliche Größe; teilweise hellhörig. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist überschaubar. Keine deutschsprachigen TV Programme vorhanden. Die Lage des Hauses ist absolut ruhig. Parkplätze im Innenhof vorhanden. Die Fahrt mit dem PKW nach Kapstadt dauert ca. 30 Minuten.

Internet könnte schneller sein und mehr Platz/Abstellmöglichkeit für unsere Koffer im Zimmer wären angenehm gewesen, ansonsten gibt es nichts zu meckern. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Super Aufenthalt in Somerset
Wir wurden super freundlich von dem Gastgeber empfangen und durch das Haus geführt. Die Zimmer waren super schön, geräumig und sauber. Gemütliches kleines Anwesen mit netten Hausherren und schönem Außenbereich. Für ein paar Nächte auf Durchreise ist die Somerset Guest Villa super zu empfehlen!

Nice place for a day trip to the winelands.
Very good service. Very helpful receptionist. We stayed two days in a very small room which was ok for the price. From time to time the dog of the house was barking but the place is very quiet and nice. Everything was perfect but the bed was too small and the spring box mattresses not very comfortable. The pool is nice and the breakfast was ok. We would stay there again but not with this kind of bed!

Es gibt einen schönen garten mit Terasse und großem Pool. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Bad /Toilette war leider ohne Tür aber sehr schön.

Zwischen Somerset West und Stellenbosch
Das kleine aber feine Guesthouse ist sehr sauber und toll gepflegt. Rocco und Tiffany machen einen tollen Job. Tips für die Umgebung, Restaurantreservierungen usw. Von dort tolle Ausflüge nach Stellenbosch, Somerset West oder Strand.

Schönes, ruhiges Gästehaus in Somerset West
Ich habe einen sehr angehmen Aufenthalt im Somerset Villa Guesthouse verleben können. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Gegend ruhig und schön, die Anlage gepflegt, das Zimmer sauber und die Verkehrsanbindung prima - man ist schnell in Kapstadt, Stellenbosch oder auf dem Weg gen Süden (z.B. nach Kap Agulhas). Ein Pkw ist allerdings notwendig. Wer Wert auf eine "schicke Aussicht" vom Zimmer bzw. von seiner Terrasse aus legt, wäre mit der betreffenden meines Zimmers sicher nicht unbedingt sehr zufrieden gewesen - da das für mich jedoch nebensächlich ist, hat es mich im Grunde gar nicht irgendwie "gestört" oder so. Auf andere Zimmer trifft dies allerdings nicht zu, wie ich erkennen konnte. Wie auch immer: Ich kann das Somerset Villa Guesthouse auf jeden Fall empfehlen!
