“Just what I needed.”
I found this hotel on the trip advisor website. I needed a hotel right on the beach with facilities for my mother who uses a wheelchair and walker. The elevator was very convient and not something you find at most Wildwood Crest hotels. An added plus was the walkway that started at the street and enabled me to wheel my mother's chair half way onto the beach. I had a two room suite as mom's aid was along with us. The room was large and very clean. The beds were comfy and the bathroom large enough for mom's walker to fit all the way in. I loved having the full kitchen which let us eat breakfast in and store fruit and water. The staff was friendly and helpful. Speacial thanks to the young man who helped us close our beach carrier. I will return!
“Enjoyable stay”
Nice room with separate bedroom off the main room which had a kitchen, dining area, and couch. Everything was clean and nice - we hope to go back again soon!
“What a great place to go on the Jersey Shore... and they are smart enough to do Expedia!”
OK. So I was a little nervous. We found this hotel on Expedia, and frankly, there are so few hotels on Expedia on the Jersey shoreline, I was pretty sure the place would either be 8 blocks inland or a dive. What a shock! We got the key from the VERY nice lady at the front desk, went to our room and behold! there was the largest living room/dining area I have seen... even at the top of the line hotels. Pass through a door by the smaller bathroom, and there were two double beds, with a wash basin, TV, and closet. I WAS PLEASED! The room is a lot like the rest of the New Jersey shore locations; older construction, furniture, etc. Yet this hotel was very clean and well kept I can't say the beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in, but for my old back, they were very respectable. The linens were clean and fresh. The bathroom was cleaned even into the corners. There were two TV's. The hotel was right on the beach at the end of the block. In Wildwood the ocean is quite a distance out from the beach edge, but we sat every AM with our door open, watching and listening to the ocean from the couch (also a Queen sleeper). The dining room had table, chairs, dishes, pots and pans, even wine glasses in the cupboards. The fridge was a full sized fridge. There was a 12 cup coffee maker that pleased this coffee addict! They even had three Weber barbeques that we used with friends who came over for a Chicken Barbeque one night by the pool! Yes, we will be coming back!
“Weekend Getaway”
We needed a last minute getaway to the NJ beaches, so this hotel offered what we needed - convenient efficiency, separate rooms with sink in bedroom, wireless internet, location on beach, etc. We were quite satisfied with our accommodations. The hotel managers even gave up their parking space for us when it was apparent that we did not have one to use. It is also apparent that the staff work hard to maintain this hotel!
“Poison Ivy”
The only problem that I encountered was the poison ivy growing on the railings of our deck. Unfortunately it was dark the first night that I leaned against it and did not realize it was there. I then ended up with poison ivy on my legs which did not go well with trying to enjoy the summer sun:( I did inform management and they said that they did not realize that it was there and would take care of it. Put a damper on my vacation though.
“Can't wait to go back!”
This motel was great! big, spacious, clean, and literally just steps from the beach.I would definitely go back.
“Cant wait to go back.”
I was extremely satisfied with out stay at Acadia Hotel. I didn't remember i had booked a efficiency and was surprised at how nice everything was. We had an Ocean View room but we could see the beach from the railing. The beds were a little hard but the manager was very pleasant and helpful. I am going back with family this summer and will definitely stay at this hotel. I was about 3 miles from the board walk but was in a quiet area. We were there in May and not too many people were around.
“Little home away from home”
Nice, well-kept place even if it is an old establishment. I like it since it's near the beach. The amenities allow you to bring and cook your own food.
“Not Impressed”
The location of the hotel is good for beach access. When we arrived, we were given the keys to the room, but no information on available services or restaurant facilities. The room was clean. However, the refrigerator did not work and it was necessary to "sign out" an iron. There seemed to be just one attendant at the desk and no way to sign out and get a bill before 7:00 a.m. We had to make an early start. The office was closed, there was no "Key" box. This was our first and last visit to this hotel.
“Not worth the price”
The only nice thing about this place was that it was close to the beach! Not worth the price! Didn't supply sample size toiletries like other places. Room needed remodeling. Elevator didn;t work half the time.
