They could use some towel racks. The room was set up efficiently, I liked the little drawers/shelf/hanging rod corner. It was easy to use, and made excellent use of all the space, making a smallish room feel larger, and quite comfortable. The curtains were good, the corner bench and window seat were convenient, with a table. Not **nearly** enough lighting in the room, though. The bed was a normal height, thank goodness! Enough outlets. Pool was great. Standard hot tub. The place is a motel, fixed up like a nicer hotel. The room size, pool, staff, amenities and the price reflect both these facts. I liked it, and will likely stay again.

Super cool decor. Bed was incredibly soft, sheets and pillows so soft! Very clean, everything brand new. Very nice. Would definitely stay again.

Really Charming Mid Century Renovation
Loved the cute mid century modern style of the rooms. Very fun vibe! The pool was nice and clean. We were there on a weekday and the pool bar wasn't open (bummer) but otherwise we had a very nice time. Would be a fun place to come with friends! There's not a whole not nearby that was open for food and drink past 8 or 9, but we did go after peak season, so I imagine they have later hours during the summer.

Enjoyed the refresh of this older motel, friendly staff, cute decor, comfy pillows, big screen tv, and quiet rooms. Only 10 min drive to Downtown Hyannis where there are many restaurants. Unfortunately rainy weekend in Sept, thus unable to sit out by the pool, no fire pits, no bar/food. Wish the lobby had a comfy sofa and fireplace, so you can at least read a book with a drink, but it's not large enough nor conducive for hanging out on a rainy or cold day. Room was great with just a couple minor suggestions.. although everything was renovated recently, it still has a mild stagnant, older smell, door to bathroom did not close properly and small innocent spider joined us. Overall, would stay again and enjoyed staying and supporting a local motel.

Awesome place.
Free Bird was a fun place to stay. The outside amenities are awesome. We enjoyed the fire pits, the bar and the pool. The room was very clean and comfortable.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The pool with music and a bar was lovely, the room comfortable, well-appointed and quiet. Lots of parking and several restaurants close by. The staff was great being mid Cape was a good launching point to discover other areas of the Cape. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Loved all the amenities - really nice pool and hot tub. Very kid friendly and safe. Great hospitality and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Housekeeping went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed.

Property overall was great ! Nice clean room bed was comfortable and clean!the bar and the bartenders are awesome drinks are great!! Pool area is nice too but need more lounge chairs we were told they were more coming but never did ! not enough for all the people at the hotel also we stay for 3 days and could never used the jacuzzi because was full of kids wish they had a minimum age requirement for that would make easier for adults to use it ! Overall was a nice stay will come back if some changes are done ! Staff need to be a little nicer when checking out we were given a little trouble after both our cards were charged and after speaking with the manager from desk lady still was asking about the amount due !! Weird but ok not a big deal!! She did not know what she was doing I guess !!

The hotel is not as deluxe as it is rated on Hotels.com. I expressed my disappointment to the general manager and he told me I could check out early but I had to decide right then and there. I told him I would like to think about that, and he told me that was not an option. I wanted some time to look for another place to stay. Very unreasonable on his part.

Fun vube
This place is terrific, we enjoyed drinks by the pool with music playing. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. It definitely has a fun, modern vibe.

Overall we had a wonderful stay and the cocktails were a great way to end the evening. All employees was wonderful and the whole place was very clean. Only slight negatives were the road outside is v busy and difficult to get out of and we could hear the kids in the room nextdoor but they didnt get up early so not too bad.

Freebird Motel is great choice!
This motel was awesome!!! New motel with lots to offer! Stayed for 2 nights and cant wait to go back!! Pool was clean..the steps were a bit slippery..my mom slid right in!!!... rooms were clean and spacious! The room had a sitting area with a small table, a small fridge and a BIG tv!!!! The room also had a small kuerig with kcups...coffee and tea!!! The room would have been great if it had a microwave.....but the main office did have one for use! Great location...... close to everything! Will be back!!!

Beautiful hotel, the interiors are fantastic, and the pool/cabana area is perfection. Only downside is that the rooms don’t have much soundproofing, you can hear upstairs/side neighbors. Other than that, a great place to stay with kids!

Property was newly renovated and looks terrific. A contemporary interpretation of Mid Century Modern. Just loved the Turquoise and Melon (orange) color scheme. Room was spacious and layout was perfect with a built in banquette and table for working or hanging out. Nice outside area with pool, hot tub, fire pits and a “food truck” that opens at 3pm serving drinks and flatbreads. Service was impeccable. Friendly and capable staff. We LOVED this place and would certainly stay again.

This motel is really adorable, with a retro, fun vibe, renovated rooms, and a cute pool area with a bar and fire pits. The staff were friendly and helpful and they let us check out late so our kid could enjoy the pool for an extra hour. Definitely recommend!

We loved our stay! A year ago, before the renovation it was a simple motel, but WOW the renovation is stunning! The king room was spacious, beautifully designed and loved the banquette eating area. Must go again!

Cute retroish place. Pool, spa, fire pit and cornhole nice added features. The only issue was that the bathroom area was too tight with the configuration of having the door right next to the toilet which was right next to the tub with the sink area outside. Would be much better if the wall between the toilet and sink was cut back a little and the door moved to the other side of the sink. It is also a privacy issue because you have to get changed in a super small place with the tub and toilet with the door closed because if you do not close the door others can see you in the BIG mirror on the wall.

We had such a nice stay here. Very clean, stylish and very friendly staff. The pool and bar were a nice plus; there were a few options close for food and a nice option for coffee less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again when we travel to the Cape!

Had an amazing stay. LOVED the decor! It had a personal touch and everyone was so friendly and didn't hesitate if you needed anything. I loved using the phone in the room. The only thing missing was a microwave in the room.
