“a beautiful stay in Canyamel”
I will definitely recommend going to Canyamel. It’s a very nice place and a beautiful location! I had a true pleasure to staying there. The staffs were always very helpful. The restaurant with a good kitchen and was with a different meals each day. The room was a small but very cleaning with a terrace. And I think we don’t need a big room on holidays as I only sleep there. Each day there were animations 2 times for the children and at 10pm for adults like a disco, show etc. The beach very nice with an amazing view as the location is close to the mountain. I will recommend rent the car to go to see another beautiful places in Mallorca Islands in generally as it gives the freedom. But I had used the bus and it wasn’t so bad.
“Lovely resort, great apartment”
Stayed in the attached appartments with wife and two children (8 & 5). The apartment was plenty big enough, although the cooker only had two rings (no grill, kettle, oven or microwave). There is a coffee maker which doubled as a kettle. The appartments own roof top pool was clean and beautifully situated. The hotel pool (5 mins away) was also excellent and safe for the youngsters. The whole resort is quiet and mainly Spanish/German so English is often a third language. Not a problem but something to be aware of. No English pubs either(hoorah)but Ca'an Picafort and Cala Rajada are not too far away. The beach is clean and patrolled by lifeguards. There are a couple of nice restarant bars on the beach and a number of good restaurant/bars in the town. The sea is shallow and clean with a gradual shelf. Hotel food was also very good on the night we used it.Caves D'Arta are a must.
“We were very satisfied with our one week holiday at Canyamel Park”
We took this holiday during the 3rd week in May 2007. The weather was superb, lots of sunshine, but not too hot. We found the hotel to be excellent and the staff and management were great. We don't speak much spanish - or german, but this did not ever become a problem. Lots of nice places around to visit including the medieval market at Capdepera.
“Excellent family resort”
My wife, two small chidren, and myself stayed at this Hotel in April 2005 for a week. The self catering accommodation is in a seperate building about two minutes walk from the main Hotel. Hopefully we will be repeating this trip in the summer of 2006. The Hotel is about two minutes from a family friendly beach and small town. It's worth hiring a car as, in my opinion, the East Coast of Mallorca is the best on the Island.
“Will book again.”
We stayed for 5 nights in May in apartment, about 100yds from main hotel. Great value, very clean, towels changed everyday, bed linen every other. Hotel staff very helpful and spoke good english considering all other guests german. Our children (aged 5 and 7) loved the kiddi disco and rooftop pool! If you are happy spending your days around a small and quiet beach resort then this is for you. Our only advice is get the german phrase book out, you will need it!
“Nice hotel in quite location”
We stayed at this hotel in September 2006. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with a lovely pool. Overall we were happy with the hotel. The hotel is well kept and the rooms were immaculately clean, although a little on the small side. The balcony helped make up for this. Canyamel is a lovely area with a beach nearby and some good restuarants. It is a very quite resort so if you want to venture further you will need a car. The only complaint was that although the hotel has a policy of not reserving sun loungers this was not put into practise and you will need to get up very early if you want to lounge by the pool.Most annoyingly the people who reserved sun loungers often did not use them until much later in the day. Also staff spoke fluent Spanish and German but limited English and information in English was hard to find, however staff did try to accommodate us and made us welcome. Make sure you visit Arta it is a charming little place and the excursion to Sineu market is fun. The hotel provides good entertainment and you can book excursions if you dont want to drive. We would definately stay here again and happy to recommend to others.
