“Very impressed and would recommend it”
We booked this hotel as an alternative to the big city hotels in Nice. Four adults (67,66,37,33) stayed for four nights returning last week. Excellent location very close to the town althogh if we'd realised that most of the shops were closed at the start of the week we might have picked a bigger town. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. Hotel could do with a bit of an update admittedly but it was spotlessly clean and not a whiff of the tobacco smoke referred to by the previous reviewer. Maid service daily. Great breakfast in a very pleasant dining room. For the money this is an excellent choice.
“Great town, hotel and holiday!”
Though a little dated, the hotel is a great place to stay! Very friendly staff, superb location (1 min from old town!), great pool and even better views of the valley below. The hotel could do with a update, out with the loud colours and brown paints, but it's very clean and tidy plus for the price you're paying you're getting a great deal! I'd recommend going for the mountain view instead of the seaview.. No need to pay the extra money, as you're going to be rarely in the room anyway!
“Excellent location! Excellent service!”
Hotel manager was super nice, spoke English and accomodated us before the check-in time, which was great because we had our 2 young children with us! Friendly, English speaking staff, gave great recommenations for restaurants. Parking can be a problem, but the hotel's location is excellent. Parking garage is available for a small fee, there is also street parking. Better to walk anyway, the city is so charming and you can find almost anything within a 15 minute stroll. Hotel itself is a little outdated, but it's clean and spacious with air conditioning, a big plus in the summer! Breakfast is available, but the bakery is 5 minutes away! Nothing fancy, but a good price, great location and helpful friendly staff.
“Idéalement placé pour rayonner sur la région”
Calme et idéalement placé pour rayonner sur la région (de Nice à Cannes). Un seul gros défaut: pas de parking.
“Good value hotel close to town centre”
Hotel centrally located with good views over the town (although you have to negotiate quite a few steps to get down into the town centre and back to the hotel). The room and bathroom were very clean and well serviced. The room had microwave oven, fridge, hotplate and sink with ample cutlery and crockery available. The staff, and particularly the manager (who speaks english - our french is very basic), were both friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special.
“Good location”
Located above the main square if you have difficulty with stairs or walking up hill then this is not the hotrel for you. The rooms are very basic old style hotel rooms, the bathroom a modular Pod on the smallish side. The pool is quite small with limited space around it for sunbaking. Limited parking on the premises but large multi level Council carpark underneath the hotel. The staff were friendly and the breakfast basic continental buffet.
“Not at all impressed”
The decor is of a very poor standard with the rooms smelling of whatever has been cooked in the room before. If you want a non smoking room, then hard luck because the linen in the non smoking rooms smells of tobacco too! The corridors remind you of gaining access to a dark dungeon and we were delighted to leave. Very poor standard overall.
