“!!!!WOW!!!!”
We were pleasently surprised....we had read the reviews prior to booking. Don't let any one talk you out of going to this resort. Yes they are building on to the resort but it didn't get in are way at all. We where on the third floor and the only time that we heard the construction was when the baclony was open...and it wasn't that loud. It is a beautiful place the staff is wounderful. The food is great!!!..we will be going back...this time with are whole family.
“Most Relaxing--Amazing trip!”
We loved this hotel. We have travelled other parts of Mexico, Cuba, Dominican, Costa Rica and other spots in the Carribean. We arrived at this hotel 1 week after it had opened and the rooms, service, food, pool --everything exceeded our expectations. We did not take the time share promotion and we were not bothered about it at all. The management of this staff take the time to listen to their clients and suggestions made were taken into consideration. The staff we spoke with had great respect for the management which to us says a lot. The rooms were incredible. We had an upgraded 1 bedroom oceanfront suite which consisted of about 1200 sq ft. All rooms are ocean front. The food was great. There is 24 hour room service which arrived anytime we ordered it hot and within 45 minutes. The fridge in the room was replentished each day. The resort had plenty of choices of food--including service both pool and ocean side. The pool was also top notch--rather than having tiles the pool had sierrra stone and the decking was prefabricated wood. It is easy to see that no expense has been spared at this resort. The service was great and we did notice improvments as the week went on--they really spoiled you. Excursions can be set up at the front desk and we took a great trip over to Isla Mujeres which can be seen from the resort. We spent New Years Eve here and would return next year in a heart beat--Can't say enough great things about Villa del Palmar Cancun
“Excellent Hotel and Experience. Can't Wait To Go Back!!!!”
My husband and I took our three young kids: 12, 10 and 6 on this trip. My sister, nephew 21, niece 17 and my mom also went with us. We booked the All-Inclusive One Bedroom Suite for each family. We got there on Christmas Day, 2nd day that the hotel just opened. The All-Inclusive is really worth it as the foods are delicious and we can eat anything, anytime and anywhere. The hotel and the room are brand new and so nice. The staff is very polite and helpful. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back again soon! We stayed at the other Villa Group hotels in Puerto Vallarta and Cabo and they are all nice but this new one is the best. Expedia only lists this hotel in Cancun as 4 star rating and it should be 5 star.
“Top Notch All the Way”
Villa del Palmar Cancun is a beautiful resort, clean as a whistle, quiet, upscale, luxurious. The staff is unfailingly friendly and helpful. Our family (19 year old daughter, 9 year old son) booked a one-bedroom suite. It was spotless, gorgeous and spacious. The Murphy bed was a convenient feature, though the mattress was too firm for my daughter. (She ended up sleeping on the couch.) The king bed was ultra comfortable. We weren't crazy about the clouded-glass door on one bathroom, and both showers had painful water jets which were unadjustable (minor complaints). The grounds of the resort: stunning. The area still under construction was not horribly intrusive. Food was delicious at all venues. Activities we enjoyed: kayaking, snorkeling, beach volleyball, mariachi band at Mexican night, fire twirlers on the beach. Marco took time to patiently teach my son soccer moves on the pool deck. My son partook in a fun cookie-decorating activity for kids. Drinks were outstanding - the fruit juices alone made us swoon. Pools were crystal clear. Beach water, not so much. It was disappointingly sea weedy. Villa del Palmar isn't a wild nightlife kind of place which suited us just fine. We found the front desk service to be helpful but they did want to "sell" us the time-share appointment at check-in; we firmly said no. After that we were not approached for the remainder of our stay. All in all, we were wowed, pampered, and have come away with marvelous memories of Villa del Palmar.
“Wonderful, relaxing time!”
“Loved every moment here! We had a fantastic time! It is a beautiful resort and we were so relaxed our whole trip. The staff took such wonderful care of us and the food was AMAZING! I think one of our favorites is the French Toast at breakfast. So Delicious!!! Thank you for such an amazing vacation! We were sad when our time there was up and hope to return again. Thank you! Thank you!”
“Excellent hotel.”
Excellent!! Specially, room service. The hotel was very new and clean.
“EXCELLENT”
We visited the resort the last week of January, and it was AMAZING! We did a lot of research, and read a lot of review on Trip Advisor, and other sites before going. I have to say that the majority of the reviews were spot on. The grounds at this resort are immaculate, and way better than I imagined they would be. The pictures do not do this place justice. The only downside was the service was not that great. With that said, you are in Mexico, so there is really no need to be in a huge hurry, right. I would definately recommend this resort.
“Very good, but food could be better!”
The check in is the hardest, a little slow and then the "modern holiday experiance" reps sit you down and explain the layout of tbe gounds etc! Then try and bribe you on a tour of the grounds for 5 hours for a discount card if you attend! We said no, and they couldn't beleave that we turned this down. Still some Building work going on, but didn't seem to affect anyone! We booked a two bedroom suit, very new, spacias and clean. Beach looks nice, but rocky in the water. The gardens are very nice, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Plenty of room around all the pools and we had no problems with finding loungers! Towels are a problem, they keep running out and you have a card that limits you! So you have to take your towel back before you recieve another! Snacks during the day are good and Restaurants are good for evening, buffet a little hit and miss very slow service for drinks at the evening Buffet! Defiantly a 4* resort with 3 1/2 * food, we always found something we liked to eat! Entertainment a little like Spain 30 years ago! lol I payed for Wifi, worked just ok for $10 usd a day!
“Great Relaxing Break!”
We loved the Villa del Palmar! We especially loved the service by the pool with Louis! He was so attentive! Room service rocked! It was a great girls' trip in the sun!
“Can}t wait to come back”
my husband and I just spent a week here and we were very satified. can not wait until until our next trip. The food and the people are the best tey treat you like part of the family. From the time you arrive right up until check out . They have some construction going on but it didn}t interfer with our good time.
