The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort accommodations feature the Westin Heavenly Bed, which includes down pillows and comforters (bedspreads). Kitchens include stoves, dishwashers, microwaves, refrigerators, coffeemakers, and cookware with dishes. Sitting and sleeping areas are separate; all units offer private furnished balconies.
LCD TVs come with cable and DVD players. Wireless Internet access is complimentary. Accommodations also provide sofa beds, in-room safes, and cordless telephones with voicemail.
Bathrooms have jetted tubs and bathrobes. Washers and dryers are provided.

“Nice Nice”
Just got back from a wonderful trip. The hotel is super nice.
“The Westin made our vacation what it was”
Every room is situated to overlook the ocean so no one gets "that room" overlooking a parking lot. The pools were gorgeous and plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The staff was very helpful- from the towel station attendant to the concierge.
“Westin Lagoona Mar Resort”
We had a fabulous time there and would definately go back!!! We highly recommend this resort. The staff went above and beyond to make us happy. They tried to get to know us instead of just working to get tips.
“Choice spot in Cancun”
All the positives said by other reviewers are true. It is a nice spot. The bed, pillows and linens are perfect. Here are the negatives: 1. The hallways are outside and made of concrete and pebbles. It is very noisy when people move their luggage and the cleaning crew move their carts. It woke us up everyday. 2. In the bedroom, on the wall across from the bed at the ceiling there is a vivid smoke detector that flashes a strobe light. Very annoying. 3. The air-conditioning works, but in the middle of the night it gets warm and if you set it down for comfort then, you are frozen by morning. We could not figure out why, but it seems as if the central hotel system may control this. 4. The cold water in the bathroom sink runs so hot that by the time you wash your face, the rinse burns it, not to mention brushing your teeth! 5. Each day we had to call for towels. They never left the same amount. They did bring them in a timely manner. It just would be nice to have consistency.
“Great choice for a family”
Our room was clean, the staff was friendly, and there were convenient places to eat. There are a couple pool options, one more family friendly with a waterslide. The staff was always around when we wanted to order food or drinks pool side. Our room was in a building off to the side with a decent view, but it wasn't inconenient to get to. We had a queen bed with a pull out couch, a large bathroom, and stackable washer/dryer. This room worked out great for our family of four.
“We have found our Cancun Home”
We just returned from Cancun and we could not be more impressed with the Westin Lagunamar resort. The resort is absolutely beautiful and clean beyond compare. The staff is the best...so accomodating and friendly. They welcome you in the front doors by saying "Welcome Home" and by the second day of the trip we felt exactly that way...at home. Each room has a balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean and each unit has a washer and dryer, which is great for doing laundry while you are away from home. We have been to Cancun once before, but did not stay at Lagunamar and let me say...I don't think we would ever stay anywhere else now that we know about this beautiful resort. We have found our "Cancun home". Thank you so much to everyone at the Westin Lagunamar Resort for a wonderful vacation...we will certainly be back in years to come.
“Great Vacation!”
The swimming pool is amazing and its bar as well. Excellent location. Isla Mall and bus stop are just at the entrance of the hotel. Buses are a good mean of transportation (cheap $1, clean and always available) from the hotel to downtown or any other place at the beach. The hotel should offer king size beds instead of queen size beds. Room with dishwasher, laundry, dryer, oven, refrigerator etc. The beach is very beautiful but the sea current was very strong all days. We spend most of the time at the pool. Staff at the pool very kind and polite.

Very nice hotel...if we would go to cancun again, we would consider staying there again.
“Great hotel”
Checkin was a bit slow and they didn't clean our room the first day we were there. Service was also slow at the Oceana Restaurant too. Other than that, things were great. We will definitely go back. The staff was friendly. The pools are so nice and the beach is great. It is a family oriented place. They also have a slide for kids and lots of activities.
“Better than I expected, and I expected the best.”
I'm a critical traveler, but I found this resort to be most pleasing. Very friendly and helpful staff. I can't say this enough! Very clean rooms that are modern and comfortable. There can be very minor wear in the rooms, but staff will quickly fix anything. Restaurants on property can be expensive, so walk the short distance across the street to the La Isla Mall, where there are many less expensive dining options. There are no hidden extra charges here as in other hotels. Relax and enjoy your vacation. :)
