“Clean/Nice. Friendly staff”
Clean/Nice. Friendly staff. I have nothing to complain about this hotel. It's a bit away from the hotel zone but R-1 bus that runs 24/7 will take you to the hotel zone and it costs only 8.5 pesos(like 60 cents CAD)
“Great Boutique Hotel!”
We were very impressed at the quality of this reasonably priced boutique hotel. The staff was excellent, very helpful - the room was super clean. We liked the onsite restaurant and the great food. We appreciated the late-night airport pickup (on time) and the accomodating driver. Another thing we liked was the interior courtyard with tables and chairs for meeting other tourists. One thing we liked about the location was that it was only a 20 minute walk (or a 5 minute taxi ride) to the harbour to take the ferry to Isla Majeures.
“Great Service and Great Price!”
More traditional Mexican hotel layout, open air central area beautiful with tables and plants. Staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurant delicious and room basic but very clean and comfortable. Recommended for anyone looking to stay at a lower rate, away from the beach. I was just staying the night before heading through to Merida, it was the perfect place, much closer to the bus station than the rest.
“Will difinitely stay here when we return.”
Terracaribe is a wonderful, clean and friendly hotel. The staff always smiled & acknowledged us in passing. The hotel is not located on the beach but there is easy access to all sights. Local buses go by the door as well as taxi cabs which are very reasonable. The pool is well maintained and also very clean. The breakfast buffet has both Mexican & American entrees with fresh squeezed orange juice and homemade salsa being available every morning at a reasonable price.
“Great deal, would definitely stay there again”
This hotel was very clean. It is not in the hotel zone however provided a daily shuttle to a beach club, and is easy to access from the hotel zone by bus. The hotel staff were very friendly, I would definitely stay there again.
“Great Value”
Wonderful experience. What a cute hotel. The rooms were very clean (and cleaned everyday). It is somewhat out of the way, BUT, the R1 buses are literally a 3 minute walk to the left of the hotel. You hop on, and it takes you all the way to the hotel zone in 20minutes or less depending on traffic. I found it to be very convenient. Costs only 8.5 pesos. The pool area is very nice, spent a whole morning just lounging around and swimming when it got too hot. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. The lady who worked at night is amazing. Her english is very fluent and she was able to answer all the questions appropriately. Ate at the restaurant once, had chicken fajita, and it was delicious. The price is very reasonable considering the same dish in the hotel zone cost me almost double the amount. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, if you don't mind the bus to the hotel zone. Great for budget travelers or for those who just want to visit the hectic hotel zone and come back to a quiet room. There was currently road construction on Ave Bonampak, which you can hear a bit, but nothing too worrisome.
“Perfect for a night or two”
The hotel was perfect for a one night stay. It has a nice inner court yard and the staff was fantastic. If you just need a place to stay while you enjoy Cancun and the surrounding area this is ideal. I wouldn't spend an entire vaction here but for a night or two it was economical and quite comfortable with great service.
“A little jewel and great value”
This was an overnight stop between Cancun airport and Isla Mujeres ferry. Do not be fooled by exterior or location. Excellent 3 star hotel. Appeared to be recently refurbished. Rooms clean. Complementary Gillette Fusion razor!! Rooms all open to nice little courtyard. Small pool. Spotless refurbished restaurant and kitchen. Window from restaurant to spotless kitchen. REALLY friendly and helpful front desk staff and restaurant waitress. 3 minute taxi ride to Isla Mujeres ferry.
“Will Stay Here Again Next Year”
I had decided to attend a wedding at an all inclusive resort in the Cancun area, but had booked too late and had to make other sleeping arrangements (spent the days at the wedding resort, as well as site seeing). As a woman travelling alone, I selected the Terracaribe because of reviews I read and I was extremely happy with my choice. Every staff member I met spoke excellent English and were happy to answer all my questions. My rental car was safe and watched over all night. My room on the second floor was quiet and always clean when I returned at the end of each day (stayed 7 nights). Being downtown I could hear sirens at night, but with the quiet airconditioner and fan going, I didn't hear a sound. Everything in my room worked as it should and I enjoyed using the complimentary internet to communicate with my husband at home. I also liked that the hot tub and pool in the centre courtyard were always available to use; especially after a busy day of site seeing.
“A great place , both for value and comfort...”
My stay was totally satisfactory in all ways. I will visit there again in the future.
